I originally checked this title out from the library, to use as an idea generator for college-level chemistry supplemental instruction, and ended up purchasing it. This is the best "easy" chemistry experiment book I've found so far: both for younger students and older ones. The writing and illustrations are clear and understandable, and the materials are easily collected around the house or after a quick trip to the store. The experiments themselves closely follow the general chemistry lab curriculum at Purdue Calumet (Hammond, IN); as such, I would recommend this for CHM 115/CHM 116 students there (PUC) as a supplement to their lab handbook. To parents: this is a great way to encourage and share a love of chemistry with your child(ren), especially when paired with "Cool Chemistry Concoctions" by Joe Rhatigan, Veronika Alice Gunter, and Tom La Baff.
