I am a 5th grade teacher who walked in to a system with very little emphasis on grammar. I received the book from a friend who was homeschooling her children. I found the book very easy to understand, both for me and for my students. It is a wonderful supplement to what our district has chosen for language arts. The students are understanding grammar very well for the first time, and are able to identify nearly every part of speech with confidence by the time they finish 5th grade. This book could also be title "Grammar for Dummies" because everything is that clear. Anyone teaching 4th - 12th could use these exercises to supplement the language arts program already in place in his or her district.

My children used Easy Grammar in their private school, so for homeschooling, it seemed like a good idea to be consistent and use something familiar to them. Easy grammar is great because it presents the rules of grammar in a concise understandable manner. It also presents the concepts in small chunks that are easy to digest. After the material is presented, several practice exercises are provided to solidify the concepts in the minds of the students.

A companion book to Easy Grammar is the Daily Grams. Daily Grams provides daily practice and review of multiple grammatical concepts to help your students keep remember everything they learn.

Easy Grammar is great because it is thorough but easily doable, making grammar less of a chore.
