This text is great. The field of statistics can seem very overwhelming at first and I didn't know which book to choose to get started. This book lays it out perfectly. It not only presents all the formulas and calculations you will need, but also applies them to everyday examples in the field, and is very easy to understand from a beginner's level. I recommend this text to anyone who is interested in the application of statistics in the medical field; moreover, why we use statistics to make scientific conclusions in the first place.

As a medical student who has been required to use many statistic textbooks, I found this biostatistic book to be particularly helpful.
