I first heard this album as a child, circa '57 or so when I was around 13. We were living in Istanbul, Turkey. Dad was in the Army and the whole family came with him! Wasn't much to do so listening to music on the family stereo/mono(?) Grundig was a favorite pass time for me. It was this album, then called Mood For Twelve, that introduced me to the wonderful world of JAZZ! Each of these songs features a solo performance of some the greats in Jazz. Needless to say, when I saw this offered on CD I jumped at the chance to own it, even though Dad (now 83) still has the orginal wax album and I of course have a dubbed cassette. The nice thing about this album is that its both for the hard-core of Jazz (mainstream?) as well as for the casual listener. It truly is a collector album and not knowing how long this will be in circulation, suggest you grab it while you can! Good Listening!

Excellent, what music should be!,

I really enjoy the works of Paul Weston. Music is soothing, mellow and very relaxing. Not loud and out of control as much of the music recorded today. Also interested in another album by him, Moonlight Becomes you, popular in the 50's. Know where it can be found?

I had purchased the original album "Solo Mood" by Paul Weston, some years ago and fondly remembered some of the very fine instrumental solos. "Easy Jazz" replaced it plus adding another previous Paul Weston album, and the quality is tops. It is enjoyable to be able to relive and rehear this fine music once again. I would highly recommend this album.
