Well...iup you can see someone who wrote "This music leads the mind to a dead-end of anger, bitterness, hatred, depression and a profound disrespect for all things Good. And no, kiddies, this is not cool."

That's exactly why i'm a big fan of NON and other B.Rice's Work!!!...

Boyd Rice, a self-avowed Nazi, dishes out the usual mish-mash of ugly sounds and stupid lyrics. In one "song" he chants, "Hitler was right...". Uh, yeah, whatever. Mr. Rice is a moron with no talent other than expoiting the minds of the young and disillusioned. This music leads the mind to a dead-end of anger, bitterness, hatred, depression and a...

A classic. A beautiful noisy wonderment. So much "experimental" music is just nonsensical noodling, so much that's called "industrial" is really just disco. This isn't really experimental because Boyd knows what he's doing. Each song is different, each accomplishes it's purpose, then stops - it's refreshingly noodle-free. If you actually *like* noise, you'll like this. Refreshingly satanic, it sounds like a handgun smells - frightening, sexy, horrible, clean, unappologetically functional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, wondeful music by the 'abominable' Boyd Rice, put whatever epitaph you want here, August 27, 2005
This review is from: Easy Listening From Iron Youth (Audio CD)
This is some great noise music pure and simple. And so much more. It's a wonderful collection of soundscapes and some intoned stuff too.

Where was I before NON came out?

Anyways, Mr. Rice has been the subject of a lot of misinformation. The man is not a neo-Nazi, although he is a Satanist, was never a member of the American Front, despite the often reproduced photograph that he posed for as a favor to a friend, but is instead a free thinker who happens to locate himself on the conservative end of the spectrum. Considering his affiliation with the Church of Satan this isn't all that surprising, since elitism and stratification are core beliefs of the group.

But, I wonder, why exactly does one have to vet the personal political beliefs of the performers who you listen to? I've done more activism and put more effort into trying to resusictate what's valuable in the Left than most of the people who complain about Rice and no one's going to tell me that I'm therefore a neo-Nazi because I like his music.

Listen for yourself, [...] read up, and make up your own mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Evil Music for Evil People, May 17, 1998

Dark, repetitive, malevolent. Demons infest the imagination, wreaking their vengeance on God through us, His vehicles.

Using tape loops and machine noises, Boyd Rice (Non) pushes the limits of endurance with his truly ugly rhythms. The strength of his vision is equal to the strength required to appreciate it. Absolutely unique.

4.0 out of 5 stars good noize music , ideaology hateful, July 30, 2005
This review is from: Easy Listening From Iron Youth (Audio CD)
NON has some awesome noize music. In todays world of hatred , racism , intolerance and apathy- the mindset of this self proclaimed neo-nazi , and head of the church of satan (i do believe this is correct, or at one time was with Michael Monhiyan)-- it is not a needed thing. I love his music- his solo stuff but as I matured and decided to be an adult- I put away childish things and the need for an image of intensity. take it for what it is- make up your own mind--- enjoy the noise- follow your heart and mind about his beliefs and rationalization. We must not forget that htis is the same Boyd Rice who fought in the 1970's for the release of Charles Manson from prison.Dont believe it- do your research--- it is in the Re-Search books , the Industrial Revolution issue that features Cabs, TG , EN ,PTV etc. Dont let my knowledge and opinions make up your mind- listen and make up your own.As I said--- musically- Boyd / NON is a genius for his noise and other "poppier" sounds he has done.
