Indeed This CD is easy to love. Bobby jams some of the best "Straight Ahead" Jazz i've herd in many years. Finding out that he was from Buffalo, I know they take they're Jazz very seriously up there and knew he had to "bring it" and in fact he does here. It's hard for me to pick a favorate. I LOVE everything on the CD and the musicians are all top notch. Not only is he OUTSTANDING on Sax, but indeed supurb on flute. I wont hesitate to aquire any of his work. A truly Remarkable work of Pure Jazz.

This review is from: Easy to Love (Audio CD)
Bobby Militello, long a major influence in the Buffalo jazz scene, reveals his excellence in this recording. A master performer on the alto sax (check out his performance with Dave Brubeck on "Take Five"), Bobby also excels on the flute and on vocals. His most distinguishing characteristic is that, no matter the instrument, every note that Bobby sings or plays has a gorgeous, compelling, warm tone quality. Unlike many Jazz musicians who are incredibly creative, but who lack polish and control, Bobby is unfailingly beautiful to hear (even during his amazingly virtuosic improvisations). His personal warmth, which helped him in business with the Club Trafalmadore in Buffalo, is heard in his performance.
