I'm using this book this year as a supplement for our American History studies. Both the background information and the projects themselves are perfect for the middle grades (I'm using them with my 8 and 10 year old boys) ~~ enough of a challenge to keep them interested, but not so complicated that we're all frustrated.

Not really great for 4th or 5th grade
This book is models period. No projects or extra activities. The models are drawn for you. All the kids do is color, cut, paste. For everyone of the models. Read more

Love this hands on resource!
We use many styles of learning, hands on being one of them. This resource was an excellent supplement while we were doing American History. My kids really enjoyed it!
