I recommend the Easy series in all of my adult computer classes. Easy from Que and Plain & Simple from Microsoft Press are easy to follow and non-intimidating for new users.

I will recommend it to any one. It will take you step by step. You don't need to be an expert in computers you only need basics knowledges. After 5 or 6 hour of study and practice you will learn to make a fine presentation.
