Awesome Illustrational Guide, January 26, 2009
This review is from: Easy Origami Fold-a-Day(TM): 2009 Day-to-Day Calendar (Calendar)
You know, I know nothing about origami, but this book is pretty good at teaching you what you need to know to get from a flat piece of paper to a bunch of interesting things. Through wonderfully accurate illustration it shows you how to make everything from crosses, to frogs, to various kinds of birds and flowers, to pigs and boats. I've just been ignoring the calendar part and folding at my leisure. I'm actually in the month of May already and feel like I'm on a PHD origami program.
Some of the days are harder than others, but I think that adds to the variety.
(2/11/09 update) Oh, I forgot to mention. Some of the origami looks awful if you use the calendar page from the day before because of all the writing on it. If you really like a particular construction, find some paper without writing that's colored on one side and white on the other.

Fun projects for each weekday. Teaches various folds and builds on that knowledge. Tips on the weekends.
