I had hoped that the Easy Rodder would be the answer to my prayers. A prodcut (which Amazon.com discribes as being) made in, and sold by an American firm (. Yay, I do what I can to keep the jobs here. Buy American, be a Patriot). It looks good, but at least in my case its only a marginal product. The hull on my boat is about 1/4" thick and that's too thick for the Easy Rodder to lock in, so I had to add a safety line to each rod/reel to make sure they don't fall out of the boat when I'm distracted. I could fix it with epoxey or something but I don't want them permently mounted. I am playing with a couple of work arounds, and if I come up with some thing that makes the prodcut work to my satisfaction I will post it on my blog (where you can see the product in use) [...] happy fishing.
