This tile cutter was a complete waste of money. It was inaccurate and poorly manufactured. The cutter chipped the tiles. The handle is plastic and too flexible to do any good. We selected this because we were doing a small tiling project--and the tiles were only $40. It seemed ridiculous to spend out more on the tile cutter than on the tiles--especially since we had only a handful to cut. My husband has completed tile projects in the past and has used hand cutters. This one just did not fit the bill or do what it said it would do. We did not buy this from Amazon, but from Menards (similar to Home Depot or Lowe's). Overall, we wouldn't recommend this one at all.

I bought this tile cutter to help in tiling a bath. I bought it because it was the cheapest I could find. Unfortunately, there was a big trade-off and I'd spend more next time for a better designed one. The two flaws are: (1) there is no "stop" that allows you to set a precise width for quickly cutting multiple tiles. (2) The arrow pointing to the place where the tile will be cut is very difficult to see once the tile is inserted. There has to be a better design than this.

On the plus side, it did seem to cut/break the tiles well, though not with any great precision.

Spend more money on a better cutter or dont bother at all.

The handle cant be lifted over the tile unless actually scoring. As a result the snapper itself can only be placed at the end of the tile. I only snapped the tiles half-way through at times. I really wasted alot of tiles that cost $. I just dont understand why that handle couldnt be lifted all the way up. It dont make sense to me.

Also, the line that you use to match the line on your tile is black so I couldnt see it at all. The object is to get the lines to match up straight so you get the proper cut and it is near impossible on this cutter.

Then there is that lump in the middle. What is that? There has to be a better idea for that. It being there made it difficult to hold the tile steady. You have to put your hand right up close to the edge where you are scoring just praying that your fingers dont get involved in the process. It was the only way to keep the tile steady.

Overall JUNK! I was more frustrated with it than I was with any other part of this project. I hope these reviews are heard my someone and some changes are made.
