This book is great. My husband has throat cancer, and was having trouble eating, expecially with the treatments. This book is a lifesaver. I have tried four recipes, and they were all delicious, I would use this book, even if my husband didn't have a problem swallowing. Thank you again for writing this book.

My husband was recently diagnosed with Achalasia, a very rare swallowing disorder in which food has difficulty passing from the esophagus to the stomach. This book was recommended by the Achalasia 101 support group and has quite literally been a life changer for us. The first part of the book gives detailed and varied information on dealing with many kinds of swallowing difficulties. The majority of the book is devoted to recipes. The recipes are mostly mainstream American with ingredients that are easily available in any grocery store. My husband's eating difficulties have been greatly eased by using these recipes. It's not necessary to make separate meals for each of us as we both enjoy the food.
Dealing with this new diagnosis was rather bewildering and scary. This book has been helpful in so many ways. I recommend it.

Recently my husband had radiation which because of the area of radiation could present a problem with swallowing and chewing. The Dietician affiliated with the Radiology Oncologist's practice recommended this cookbook. I opted for the Kindle download, so I had the "book" within easy access to following the recipes in the kitchen! As an RN, I was pleased with the selection of recipes, especially with the focus on those necessary nutrients for the healing process.

This book is an excellent reference and resource book that I share with my patients who have swallowing difficulties. Several of them have gone ahead and ordered the book themselves! Great recipes with a lot of variety.

Very pleased with this book. Not only does it have tasty, easy to prepare recipes but the information contained in Part One should be compulsory reading for all involved with any friend or loved one who has a problem with swallowing as a result of certain medical conditions. Also the nutritional information given at the bottom of each recipe is particularly helpful when counting calories to maintain/gain weight.

A very close friend had surgery that caused difficulties in swallowing. Found this book online and gave it to her as a gift and she loves it.

A must have for anyone suffering from swallowing issues.
