This light does not really simulate sunlight very well, nor does it really give you much light. You get what you pay for, and you'd be better off with a 55W Ultralux if you have problems with SAD or enjoy reading alot in your favorite lounger.

I am very pleased with this lamp. When I was shopping on line for one,
I knew that I wanted a lamp that wouldn't cause a glare or over heat.
It is very easy on the eyes, and a good addition to my bedroom. Plus I got a bonus not realizing that the neck of the lamp was flexible.
