Bought this to use on the Christmas tree so we didn't have to keep unplugging it. Works great, even from a distance!

um...fired hazard!
I bought this at family dollar last year sometime and have been using it since...i was sitting here just now and the part that plugs into the wall started smoking and sparking! luckily it didn't catch anything else on fire...i grabbed it and put it in some water once it settle down. that was scary! i have already lost one place to fire, i don't plan to do it again. the...

Love this item. Just plug in and it works. Button can be pretty far away and still works great. The only downfall is that I would prefer it had a AA or AAA battery.
