5.0 out of 5 stars Not Udo
I know most of the die-hard Accept fans turn a blind eye to this album since this offering was without Udo in the lineup. With that said, I'll review the album from that perspective. If you're looking for this to sound like Accept being fronted by Udo, don't bother because it doesn't. Does the music sound like Accept, yes it does. Does the singer (David Reece) wail on...

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Accept without Udo is like Led Zep without Robert Plant, it's just not the same. Not that David Reece is a bad singer mind you, but Udo is THE voice of Accept. I cannot recommend this CD to any hardcore Accept fans. The only track on it that I like and that kicks butt is the track D-Train. It's a scorcher. Save your money and get METAL HEART, BALLS TO THE WALL, or...

If you're looking for this to sound like Accept being fronted by Udo, don't bother because it doesn't. Does the music sound like Accept, yes it does. Does the singer (David Reece) wail on this album? Yes, he does. Are the compositions and lyrics tight? Yes, they are. I think this album is one of the most underrated releases from the late 80's. Personally, I think this is a great album all around.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Album..., July 6, 2010
This review is from: Eat the Heat (Audio CD)
Yes, This is not Udo and therefore not really an Accept album. But when you listen to it, It is really a good sounding rock album. Songs like Generation Clash, Stand For What U Are and Hellhammer are great. Definitely worth checking out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not really Accept, but...., May 21, 2009

This review is from: Eat the Heat (Audio CD)
I have to admit that I agree with the other reviewers here. Udo is truly the voice of Accept. This CD has a lot to offer, however. Hellhammer, XTC, Generation Clash, and Prisoner are really stand-out songs. It is not the Accept that we have come to love, but I still have much of this rolling around in my iPod to this day. Check it out!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars No UDO no deal!!, October 6, 2007
This review is from: Eat the Heat (Audio CD)
Although David Reece does a very good job as a frontman, Udo will always be recognized as the voice of Accept. This is an album for Accept buffs and completists but if you want the real deal, skip this one and go to the classics like Balls To The Wall and Metal Heart
