I really wanted to like this book, but it is short on details and long on stories. It reads more like a diary instead of the information I was looking for on exactly what the author did to help her kids overcome autism.

What I like about the book is it provides a straightforward collection of things you can do to help your child, telling you how to do it, plus what happened to the author's children (and what didn't) when she did them. It's a map from someone who has navigated the choices for treatment (as well as inventing some new ones) and who has had success.

This book is a nourishing meal of hope and inspiration. Jane's hope for your child's improvement is infectious. Her testimony about how she used fermented foods to heal her son's tummies brings us back to inexpensive and basic ideas like food as medicine. There are some great recipes, lots of encouragement, and a ton of common sense. This book is a joy.

I highly recommend Jane's honest and informative book, Eat It and Beat It, to any parent of a newly diagnosed child. Jane has been through it and has come out successfully. Her recounts and explanations provide valuable insights for any parent going through the process of recovery of their child.

Jane Casey is very knowledgeable and carries a very no-nonsense approach to healing autism. Her story is of finding hope and healing her boys of autism. She reiterates important tools for healing that really work. She comes across as professional yet relatable for those both new or experienced in biomedical and nutritional therapies. One of my favorites is her encouragement of positivity and her power of believing. She tells you again and again that if you want to heal, you can, and provides many resources. I've also read most of the resources she has listed, and they are great books. She sources her work through personal experience, work with clients, and other resources which she lists at the end of the book.

It's an excellent book. Every parent with a child with autism or sensorial problems
