This book sits on my counter, not as an admonishment, but as a reminder of how simple it is to prepare delicious vegetable dishes. If we consider veggies something to be hidden or try to sneak them in where they can't really shine (Kale Brownies, anyone?), then of course it's hard to get kids to eat them. If you follow Tricia's simple recipes, you'll soon find that you and your kids are both enjoying vegetables more.

Whether you are a CSA member or you get most of your vegetables from a grocery store, if it is important to you to serve your family healthful food, then this is your go-to book.

Really enjoying this cookbook just now -- it's on the shelf next to the Jamie Oliver collection and the original Moosewood. Tricia's recipes fit quite well into my family's style of cooking -- quick, easy, simple, yet fresh and flavorful. I'd recommend this book to anyone who get a veg box/CSA share/or just wants to find new ways of cooking vegetables.

Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
This cookbook has some great recipes and ideas, along with practical buying and storage information. Unlike other cookbooks I have on the shelf, I have already made several of the recipes, and this book has been a great help when I get my weekly CSA box. But some of the directions seem incomplete, and some of the quantities do not seem right. Persian rice with 6 cups of rice. I made as written and it was a crazy mess. Might have been good with 1 cup of rice ... But in the end, the cookbook delivers exactly what it claims. You will eat more vegetables!
