5.0 out of 5 stars Great new edition! September 14, 2011
By MM
Format:Paperback
Love this series! I just went out and bought this edition today. As a busy mom with three kids, they cover all the bases--home, restaurants, shopping. It's like a cookbook, grocery list, and takeout menu drawer rolled into one book. And believe it or not, it works--it's like I can lose weight without even thinking about it...17 pounds since buying my first book! I also love that they cover more than just diet tips and focus on eating better overall--it blends weight loss for me with overall health for my family. Plus, the recipes are so cheap and delicious. Do yourself a favor and order one ASAP--you'll be hooked too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best edition in a long time! September 13, 2011
By Ajz23
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have purchased every Eat This and Cook This book to date and the last few have been a bit repetitive. However, this edition really shines compared to the few that preceded it. There are a ton of informative articles at the beginning followed by a revamped version of the "eat this not that" section of the book. I am glad that the series has picked up and will be able to maintain existing fans and hopefully bring in a bunch more!

3.0 out of 5 stars Over-hyped and not that useful February 1, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The author spends the introduction hyping the book (which you've presumably already purchased), then several paragraphs extolling the virtues of Michelle Obama (who is a fine lady, but not exactly what I bought the book for), and a the better part of a chapter explaining that America is overweight and sells unhealthy food. The rest of the book is devoted to comparing a very small sampling of foods from restaurants, heavy on the fast-food variety, and really doesn't have any information you couldn't glean from published nutritional information.

I'm not impressed. For me this book was a waste of money.
