I enjoyed the book so much that I re-read some chapters. It's in easy
to understand language and can be read in one sitting but taking your
time is the best way to read this insightful book. I take to heart what the author refers to eating real food, eat when your hungry, and stop
when your full. In a concept that is all you need to do to get off of the diet roll coaster.

This book is a quick read that can change your life and the way that you think about food. I tended to eat very fast, but Maggie taught me to slow down and savor each bite. If you want, you can read this book in one sitting; but it is best to take it in stages and do the homework that Maggie prescribes. It turns out that real food is healthy food - enjoy!

This book is full of information that a lot of women, including myself need to hear and hear often. As a woman who has ridden the diet roller coaster for over 12 years, with no lasting weight loss to show for it, this book really helped me see food and the enjoyment of it for what it really is. I finally started to lose weight when I stopped dieting, who would have thought such a thing could happen?

A few helpful things that I learned from this book are that I should only eat foods that I really enjoy instead of eating for the sake of eating. I should eat plenty of fats to keep my body satisfied and that I should strive for the best quality and nutrition in my food as possible. That creating a good atmosphere for dining and eating slow and mindfully are all ways to really enjoy eating.

I also learned that it is important for people to stop comparing themselves to everyone else and obsessing over a number on the scale. To appreciate ourselves as we are made, take good care of ourselves by eating delicious, nutritious food and enjoying it at the same time!
