Trevor Rocks the Boat!,
By Ann Byrd "celtic vol" (Greenback TN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eaten By The Sea (Audio CD)
I have enjoyed Trevor as a member of Rathkeltair for a while.. he has a great voice and a quirky sense of humor. Just saw him again at the Gatlinburg games and found the solo cd. He warned me it wasn't Celtic-and it isn't! No bagpipes! But if you like the humor of Pretty Too-and his unique way of looking at the world, you'll love it! His songwriting style somehow reminds me of Morrissey and the Smiths-something about that Brit sense of humor. Would have enjoyed more of his rockin guitar licks-but there are a few good instrumentals as well, and who knew he could play keyboard so well?? Highly recommended as a cd you will enjoy more each time you listen.

Great album Trevor!,
By Marcelo Rangel (Brasilia - Brazil) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eaten By The Sea (Audio CD)
Well, let's see. Despite not being as phenomenal as Bullish, Bellyache & Belch, what would be almost impossible, this album manages to bring us more great music from Trevor, 4 years after his masterpiece."Pretty Too" is a perfect pop song, with a chorus that glues in you like bubble gum. "Lemmings" is a nice ballad, with a very strong guitar work and sarcastic lyrics. "Wannabe" could easily be on every Beatles album. Trevor played all instruments on this one, and the nice thing about the album artwork is that we have lyrics on it now, a nice touch. Probably this will grow on me, and probably just a few people will listen to this album, but it's ok, as long as he keeps releasing good albums it's ok with me! |
