Yes, this is healthy,

The first online review is wrong about the fat content of the recipes. At the bottom of each recipe the calorie content is described. The recipes are mostly under 50 or 60 fat calories per serving. NOT FAT GRAMS. With 9 or 10 fat calories per gram that is only 5 or 6 grams of fat per serving. This is a healthy and helpful cookbook. Please diregard the earlier review

YUMMY!,

I have been compelled to write a review for any book- until now!I love this cookbook! The recipes are interesting and flavorful. The ones I have made have been fairly simple. Some do require some specialty ingredients, but they are used in many different recipes so they seemed worth having on hand. This is the only cookbook I keep on my counter.

I bought this cookbook on a whim about 10 years ago, and it is one of the best I've ever bought. I love the spinach quiche, pineapple chicken, lemon-mustard chicken, peppery chicken, among others. The food tastes good, and has low-fat substitutes for more typical ingredients which make it healthy too.

My mother had a copy of this years ago. I found myself craving their Gingerbread muffins and was thrilled to find a Kindle version. I've made several of the recipes recently (including the delicious muffins) and I've found them all quite good. Nobody even seems to know that I've cooked something healthy (sadly a ruse we must perpetuate these days). I highly recommend it! (I recommend the muffins especially but, if you really love the ginger flavor, increase the ground ginger to 1 tbsp.

I bought this book thinking that it would provide low fat recipes. I found only a few that were below 20 grams of fat! If you are looking for a lowfat cookbook, I don't suggest this one.
