She doesn't tell us when, how or what, she guides us in weekly focuses to listen to and trust our own body to tell us. Preferably not reading ahead. Hard to do if you've read similar books. This one has them all beat. Even then, just start with week one if you've previewed/read it all through.
The author offers no food guidelines and no personal opinions. You are the only judge of that based on your own body wisdom. You can read labels, or not. Listening to your body will guide you if a particular brand and it's ingredient contents doesn't make it happy. Your body will remind you next time you consider eating that particular food. Yes, it remembers.
