I have an interest in David Koresh and the Unabomber as individuals who found ways to act out forms of abjection that civilized people are expected to repress. Chuck Klosterman does not agree with me on how well the Unabomber struck back at whatever was bugging him, but he quotes Bill Hicks on David Koresh in a paragraph that I considered the best insight in the book. Whether you consider any of this funny is entirely up to you. If you do not accept extreme comedy as a form of cognition, you might agree with Chuck Klosterman more often than I do.
