Poignant, Playful, Provocative, May 17, 2009
This review is from: Eating Her Wedding Dress: A Collection of Clothing Poems (Paperback)
Poignant, playful, provocative--these poems touch on the countless ways we respond to items of clothing. One of the strongest collections I've read in years-- this lovely book has gained a coveted spot on the table next to my bed.

A beautiful journey, April 15, 2009
This review is from: Eating Her Wedding Dress: A Collection of Clothing Poems (Paperback)
This collection is so artfully composed--each poem took me to a different human experience, all with the theme of clothing tying them together. From the introduction to the last piece, it is a delight. Reading it made me realize how complex our relationship to clothing is, and the very important place it holds in our spiritual and emotional lives. The editors gave just enough shape and guidance in the way they ordered and grouped the poems. As a reader, I felt I was being gently guided on a beautiful journey which at each turn, I discovered something new and fresh.
