From Library Journal
Roch, a food critic for a radio station on the Riviera, emphasizes good value for the money at the restaurants he describes. Arranged alphabetically within the two regions, the guide provides informative notes on food quality, price, and atmosphere. Still, while it is fun to read, the guide is poorly planned for the casual user. There is no index, and the alphabetical restaurant listing is hardly helpful for a newcomer to the region. Entries vary in length, and while most restaurants are rated numerically, some are not. Helpful tips are sometimes buried in the middle of an entry, and maps are little more than sketches. Furthermore, the geographic area covered is not large enough to warrant inclusion in most libraries. Appropriate only for the most comprehensive travel collections.
