These work better than the snap mouse traps.

There isn't any kind of handle to allow you to pick it up from a distance, and putting my hand on a trap with 5 terrified rats struggling to get free is NOT an option.

I started noticing droppings around the kitchen area, and realized, drats! I have mice! Being an animal lover, I tried the Humane Cube Mouse Trap (with peanut butter inside). Nothing! Two weeks later, not even a bite! It got really bad because they started reproducing and there were droppings everywhere! And the smell was horrid!

Then I tried the Snap Traps..nothing happened except I noticed the food disappeared and no mice caught.

So I walked to Walgreens, asked an associate and he referred me to J Eaton's Glue Traps. He swore by them...so I got several rat size and a few mice size...then BAMB! 13 mice caught in 24 hours, 5 on the larger traps. The first 2 were caught within 30 minutes (must turn off the lights). So I threw away the other useless traps..I did not want to go this route but it was either them (and a really smelly household) or us and J. Eaton's Glue Traps. I guarantee it works...it is very uncomplicated to use and I discard within 36 hours (makes the most use of the rat size traps, which I recommend because there is more surface area). The best because it ...simply...works.

These rat glue boards will catch rats/mice, but they're not foolproof. They do have a strong peanut-buttery scent. I set one this evening, and a short while later found that I had a whole family caught in one trap (momma rat and 4 young ones).

First warning: The little buggers will SCREAM and struggle when they discover they can't get free. They will scream even louder as you approach them. They will scream loud enough that you'll hear them from across the other side of the house. Be prepared to handle screaming rodents if you use this product!

Second warning: Since it doesn't kill them, you're gonna have some terrified (and did I mention "screaming") rats struggling around on that board, while you try to figure out how you're going to handle disposing of them. There isn't any kind of handle to allow you to pick it up from a distance, and putting my hand on a trap with 5 terrified rats struggling to get free is NOT an option. Waiting for them to die isn't an option either, at least if they're within earshot, as it could take several days for them to die. My recommendation is to take a small cardboard box (delivery boxes from amazon come in handy!), and cut a doorway into one end (for them to enter through), and put the glue trap in that. This way you can pick up the box, with some distance between your hand and the captive rodents.

Third warning: It's not foolproof. Even though momma rat was firmly on the board, she was very determined, lunging around, and as I stood there trying to figure out how to handle picking it up to dispose of them, she managed with one last thrust to get free and disappear. And of course her babies kept screaming the whole time. "Mommy, Mommy!! Don't leave us!!!!"

These glue pads work, but I don't think I'll be using them again, just due to the awkward nature of having to deal with the live rodents (or whatever else you might catch) once they're caught.

These rat traps did the trick when my horse feed room was being overrun with rats. I had been using the standard spring loaded traps which were being totally ignored. Finally I found these traps at a hardware store and put six traps around the walls of the feed room. In the morning I had nine (9) rats stuck to traps. There is a downside to this method that needs to be mentioned. These traps do not kill the rats; it merely prevents them from moving. I have to take the sticky pad and drop it in a bucket of water to dispatch the animal. Also, the traps are not as effective in cold weather. The glue isn't as sticky. A good product that does what it says...catches rats.

If you think you have mice or rats, these work wonders in attracting them and ultimately ridding those uninvited guests! These work better than the snap mouse traps. I highly recommend these. However, be careful as they are hard to remove if you get caught on it. The removal is difficult at best.

When I read the awesome reviews for this product I thought I had finally found the cure-all answer to the mouse/rat problem I've been dealing with recently. I set out 6-8 traps and even put various types of bait in the center, regardless of the peanut butter scent it comes with, and I caught nothing. Three of the traps I could tell had been tampered with by a rodent, as the trap was moved several inches away or flipped on its side, indicating that there was a struggle. This was pretty horrific: one of the traps was left with only a mouse tail and blood streaks against the wall. For me these traps didn't work, for others I guess it did.

This thing does its job well if you put the right bait on the tray.
I had this hidden behind a freezer where the last mouse was found cruiz'n.
One week after placing it there, didn't catch a thing.
Until my daughter accidentally dropped a couple of french fries on the tray and the magic happened.
That very night it caught one mouse.
After I had it disposed of, the second night it caught another 2, mother and son.
After those were disposed of, the third night it caught another one.
So, four down, and hopefully none left.

Just a tip on how to dispose of the rats.
You see, they stay alive for a while and you can hear them crying if you don't do anything to "dispose" of them fast without getting your hands dirty.
So, I went to the 99cent store, picked up one of those long claw (screw and nut pick up extenders, (found one on Amazon: OEM 25291 Four Claw Pick Up Tool).
It has 4 metal prongs for picking up screws and nuts, it also is quite useful to choke the little ones quite quickly if you just grab it by the neck or head.
No blood, no mess.
And then you can reuse the glue trap again.
