Wow. This bench is terrific (which is why I'm taking the time to review it). It is a very nice piece of furniture. Attractive with a luxurious look about it. This is not flimsy stuff. It is heavy (34 pounds) enough and sturdy enough that I feel solid and secure when seated and playing. The leather is formidable, the finish on the legs is glossy and classy, complimenting the more matte appearance of the upper portion.

If you have ever turned a nut in your life, it is NOT difficult to install the legs. The little wrench included is just a bit over-sized making it somewhat clumsy, but I didn't bother to use anything else. I had the legs on in 5 minutes, it just couldn't be easier. Some folks complained there are no installation instructions. Good grief.

The storage area is more than adequate for your current projects' sheet music and more. Some reviewers complained it's too small. It's a bench folks, not a library.

The height is adjustable from either the left or right side of the bench. Either knob raises the entire seat, you don't need to use both knobs to level it or anything.

The seat IS comfortable. Some reviewer said it is too hard. I don't know what might be going on with that persons bottom...but this seat is soft and very comfortable to me.

The seller, CPS Imports didn't fool around getting it to me. I ordered this item on a Sunday. By 1pm Monday it was on its way to UPS. I received it 3 days later (CPS shipped from Arizona, I am in Washington State).

I bought it for about 200 bucks. I'm glad I didn't compromise for something smaller and cheaper. I like nice things. This is a nice thing. I'm going to go sit on it again now. Happy playing!

My sons are 5 and 8 and thus the standard bench is not high enough. This one comes really handy. And it is very comfortable for kids to sit and practice for an hour. Looks great and in great quality.

This is very sturdy and well worth the price we paid. However, be aware:
1. It is not a true "duet" bench. I would call it an oversized one person bench.
2. It is difficult to adjust the height--the knob is difficult to turn. It also has a small adjustment margin
3. It is not as "cushy" as some artist benches

However, the price is MUCH lower than most artist benches, and the quality is excellent. Easy to put together!

This bench seems to be of decent quality, especially for the price. I am a piano teacher and needed a bench that could be height-adjusted for my smaller students. The knobs are a bit stiff and it takes quite a few turns to get it to the right height--the movement is rather slow--but it might need to be that way so it holds itself in place and doesn't lower when someone sits on it. It's a nice size but not overly long, so for actual duet work, if two larger people are using it, it may be a bit crowded. I'm using it with my students who are mostly children, so that's not a problem for me. The only real concern I have about it is that the feet seem narrow and are placed closely together from front to back, so I worry a little about my very active students tipping it over backwards--but so far, so good! Hopefully that doesn't happen. Overall, it's a very good value!

A nice looking, comfortable, sturdy bench and a great price. You'd never get 2 people on it though. At least not 2 adults! Otherwise a great buy!

We eagerly unpackaged the replacement for our old piano bench and were
delighted to discover the quality of this product. The assembly was very
quick with the enclosed tool. All of our family pianists, 5 of them, are
enjoying the comfort of this bench. The quality has exceeded our expectations
of an adjustable bench of this price.

I own an 88 key, Yamaha digital stage piano and never had a nice bench for it. I was looking for a black leather, tufted style bench that looked substantial and classy. This bench really seemed to suit my needs. It arrived very quickly and was expertly packed in what I would call a manageable sized box. The legs, which have very nice protection pads at the bottom of each one, are a glossy black and were off and wrapped in the box. I simply turned the seat part of the bench upside down and screwed the legs on. The seat itself has some weight to it, but I would not consider it heavy or burdensome. Putting the legs on took all of 3 minutes. A simple tool was included to tighten them.

The bench looks even nicer in person than as pictured on Amazon and it is very well made. The comfort-level of the seat is what you would want for playing the piano - it is on the stiff side, but it should be. The leather is soft to the touch and the tufting makes it look like an expensive piece. The only two negative things worth mentioning as a potential downside to buyers is 1) The seat is not big enough for two people. My 17 year-old son, who is on the thin side, had plenty of room but not enough for another person of his size or larger to sit with him. A thin adult and a very small child might be able to sit together. 2) The depth beneath the hinged seat is all of one inch. This seemed odd. There is enough room for sheet music, but not much else. If you are looking for a bench to store all of your books of sheet music, know that very little will fit inside. Additionally, the inside of the storage bench appears to be lined with some kind of heavy paper. Once I placed my sheet music inside, you couldn't see it.
