Another Fine CD, January 1, 2007

Once again Numero has unearthed some fine soul music resting in undeserved obscurity. Like the other releases in the "Eccentric soul" collection these aboscure gems would have benefitted from being released on a bigger lable in a biger city.
In many ways the music on this CD is ahead of it's time, and yet in many other ways this music is deeply rooted in the social scene of it's time. Frome stoned-out soul that predated the "Veloure Soul" of the 70's to the doo-wop inspired sounds that were prevelant at the time there ain't a bad tune in the bunch
