This Bible study has been exactly what I've needed in this crazy season of my life. Every day I've gained new insights or been reminded of a truth that's been buried under the clutter of my life! I love how honest and straightforward this study is. I am using it as a personal Bible study, which works great, but would love to try it with a group. It's so applicable to every day living. I definitely recommend it to any one wanting to be encouraged and challenged by God's word. I also recommend it to a lady who feels like she needs a good honest friend to walk beside her. The author makes you feel like she's your sister or your dear friend who loves you and just stopped by to share a word for you today!

So far I am really enjoying this study. It starts out with a week of history so we know how and why Solomon became king. We recently did a study on Proverbs in our Sunday Life Group class. This will be a great follow-up. I would recommend it for personal or group study!!!

Along with Jeremiah, this study is one of the best yet. I am still doing it and can't wait until the next day's lesson. God has certainly used this study in my life.

Stephanie Shott invites us to take our faith deeper by learning from one of the wisest men in Scripture. Her style is warm, inviting, and deep. This is a great resource for personal study or small group or discipleship study. Understanding What Matters Most helps us take this into real life, applying principles and wisdom to our interation with others, our choices, and our view of what "really matters". I highly recommend this as a resource for churches, study groups, and for individual study.

Though this study wasn't written for one specific demographic, it has been awesome for the Bible study of young single, recent college grads that I lead. Finding suitable Bible study material for this age group is hard, there just isn't much available that doesn't focus solely on dating, or isn't for young/immature Christians. There is a ton of stuff for high school and college kids, and there is a ton of stuff for wives and moms, but these women don't fit there. When the group decided they wanted to study Ecclesiastes, I knew I would need some help. After looking at several different options, the group chose this book hoping it would be good.
I can't even begin to explain how valuable it has been. This study has lead to so many discussions about life that first year or two out of school, when they are making so many decisions and experiencing so many things that they have never done before, everything from managing finances with a Godly perspective, to establishing friendships when you aren't in college anymore, to relationships with coworkers, honoring God in all aspects of life.

Thank you Stephanie Shott for this.

As a woman who has led and participated in numerous small group Bible Studies, I have completed many Bible Studies throughout the years. I have found that Stephanie Shott's "The Book of Ecclesiastes" is one of the best. It is thought-provoking, thorough, and well-written.

This study is broken down into six sections:

Life Lessons from History
From Vanity to Victory
Days of Our Lives
The Serious Side of Life
Having a Proper Perspective
Our Heavenly Sieve

Stephanie encourages us to dive deeper into God's Word. She asks challenging questions and gives us helpful insights, such as, "Life is ever-changing, yet each new season we face comes with purpose," "Solomon's life is proof that wisdom doesn't necessarily equal perfection," and "There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience."

I am looking forward to the next study in Stephanie Shott's Following God through the Bible Series and I highly recommend women to take this journey into Ecclesiastes, whether in an independent Bible Study or with a Bible Study group.

The latest in AMG Publishers' Following God through the Bible series, Ecclesiastes: Understanding What Matters Most, is a six-week workbook study that takes an in-depth look at Ecclesiastes. This debut offering from author Stephanie Shott provides a Christian woman's unique perspective into an oft misunderstood book of the Bible. Shott's honest and sincere approach immediately dissolves any trepidation readers may have about looking at their own lives and the choices they've made along the way. In this study, Stephanie graciously points out the heart of every man is written in the pages of Scripture. Readers in all walks of life are sure to identify with and be encouraged by Solomon's wisdom. As they turn this pages of this workbook, they will be challenged to live lives of purpose and will come to know "what really matters most in this life we live under the sun."

We've been doing this study in my women's small group and it's been very good. It digs into the meat of Ecclesiastes.
