Having to stand on my feet most of the time at work, Ecco footwear has been worth the investment. After a few days, my lower back pains disappeared. I have now owned roughly 5-6 pairs over the past several years, and even when one wears the same pair continuously, it's like walking on air. The Track IV boot continues the tradition. Incidentally, I took them on a trip to have just in case it snowed. When it did, they kept my feet warm and dry while sled riding. The price might seem high, but just multiply even $60-80 Nike tennis shoes times two and you are almost there. Aside from the waterproof feature, these boots also have an aggressive tread, easy foot insertion and lacing, and a mostly leather outside. If you need ankle support (i.e., for hiking), the sides do not come up high enough (do not buy these for lengthy hikes).

So far the ECco boots have been wonderfu. Light , soft, flexible and rugged Just what you want in a man and a boot.
I will be trying them out hiking in aspen in September I can give you a full report then. I purchased the man's boot I thought it was better looking than the woman's. I would centainly have a break- in period if I were doing some serious hiking right off. But it has not been necessary-- just put them on and go.

These are stupendous boots. They are very comfortable, very sturdy & longlasting. The tread grips very well on snow and ice, yet feels perfect on level pavement and sidewalks, and does not wear quickly. No water, slush or snow has ever gotten in. They are quite warm in winter and somehow don't get overheated in summer. And, they look great. The only negative are the laces, which you'll have to replace sooner rather than later.

I got this boots in not time,very comfortable and warm,nice looking; the only minor concern is that the shoelaces don't stay tight they get loose,to avoid that I made two knots;I had this problem with other expensive shoes;can anybody made shoelaces that don't untangle? (we went to the moon).

So far these have kept my feet warm and comfortable. Living in Arizona, I haven't had much chance to get them wet yet.

My husband's use of this boot is consistant through the winter. He's kind of an outdoorsman snob, (only the best for #1) but he insists on the gore-tex and ECCO has been a quality assured fave for years!
Great looking with anything too.
Highly reccomend it.

Best shoe, boot, made. Service and handling completely inept. Never again will I buy boots on line.
