Book Description

April 22, 2003
A Tauron ambush has blasted the "AST Saarien" out of existence on its maiden voyage, plunging its unwittingly courageous Aidennian survivors into the terrifying emptiness of the Great Void. Now each day is a game of survival with the merciless Universe!

A doomed globe has become the refuge for the Aidennians. Commander Capel and his crew of the "Pioneer 4" notice their life-raft world is undergoing changes. The world's tri-suns are found to be on a count down to detonation. The only course open to the Aidennians is to repair their impaired ship and evacuate. As the restoration timeline ticks away, the Aidennians become consumed with unlocking the secret to mysterious transmissions that have suddenly begun to interrupt their repairs. Could the Taurons have found them?

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally! Book 2 is here!, December 23, 2003

This review is from: Echelon's End: Book 2: Sidereal Quest (Bk. 2) (Paperback)
Really enjoyed reading Book 2 in this epic scifi series created by E. Robert Dunn. It is a real page-turning adventure in the lives of the Aidennians. Relationships are stronger and the family dynamics reveal a futuristic society with true, working values. Hints of who these people are hit "home", making the reader wanting to get closer to the characters, sympathetic with their plight lost in the void, and empathize with loves and losses. I highly recommend this book as an excellent follow-up to the 5-star Book 1: Last Generation. Can't wait to read Book 3!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sidereal Quest is just that -- a Quest!, December 23, 2003

What Book 1 didn't answer, Book 2 completes. This book is a definite page-turner. The characters are flushed-out and more defined as the story's trials and tribulations of the Aidennian survivors of the AST Saarien continues. And, what an ending -- it's a real "blast"! I am in anticipation for Book 3!

5.0 out of 5 stars The sequel delivers!, December 23, 2003
By
Bob King (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Echelon's End: Book 2: Sidereal Quest (Bk. 2) (Paperback)
Sidereal Quest hits the pavement running as it picks up 6 months after the end of Book 1: Last Generation. The character development continues and the plot(s) twists and rolls on a rollercoaster literal ride from page to page. Seeds to mysteries planted in Book 1 grow, while other unanswered questions arise begging for another sequel in this epic scifi series of E. Robert Dunn. I can't wait till Book 3 comes out! Hurry!
