Book Description

18 year old Tessa Copeland barely survived the worst year of her life—in fact, it was a miracle. After making it through the tragedy that killed both of her parents, she’s left to pick up the pieces of her life. Combating the holes in her memory and the concern of her friends was hard enough, but a new talent threatens to destroy everything she’s trying to reclaim.

David Allegri didn’t mean to ruin Tessa’s life. She was the brightest soul he’d seen in centuries and he couldn’t let her die, so the fallen angel used his abilities to heal her—only he took it too far and changed Tessa forever. Now, he has to figure out a way to explain what’s happening to Tessa and somehow protect both of them from the consequences.

His choice made them targets for the Hunters, who will use any means necessary to capture their prey. Only a desperate plan can help them escape, and sacrifices will be made. Time is ticking. Will they make it, or will they be lost to the echoes of fate?

About the Author

I started my obsession with reading at an early age, getting in trouble for sneaking BabySitter Club and Nancy Drew books into math class in elementary school. I would read any fiction book I could get my hands on. I knew it was an addiction when instead of grounding me from TV or music, my mom would take away my books as punishment (The Horror!). My love of all things paranormal was inspired by my good friend Laurie, who convinced me that books with vampires, witches, and all things shifter were amazing. After a little reluctance, I gave it a shot with the Sookie Stackhouse books, realized she was right, and the rest was history. I grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with my degree in English, and taught 8th graders to love reading as much as I do for several years. I will always be a proud member of the Steelers Nation, but I couldn't take the cold and moved my frozen tush to Florida where I now live with my family and two cats. You will find me now with my trusty Kindle in hand and toes in the sand! When I'm not writing or reading, I am probably partaking in my favorite vice: sunbathing. I know it's wrong, but I love the feeling on the hot sun on my skin and could lay in it for hours. I do live in Florida for a reason! Please feel free to contact me! 4.0 out of 5 stars very enjoyable read June 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
First I want to thank Sarah Ross for sending me an eARC of Echo of an Earth Angel. I fell in love with her other book, Awaken, back in January. So to say I was excited to read another book for a different series is an understatement. I hope when you read her books you enjoy them as much as I have.

Tessa has been home for a bit recovering from an awful tragedy; one where she lost both her parents. She was almost a casualty as well when she took a bullet to her head saving a young girl. With sections of her memory is gone she must learn to move on. But when something strange happens one night at dinner Tessa is forced to believe that angels really do exist...and this is only the beginning for her.

David is a fallen angel that is out to do what he was made for: heal! He can no longer sit idly by watching some people heal while others suffer. So one night long ago he defied Heaven above and went rogue. But now that he has met Tessa and changed her...he wonders if he went too far. Will she run from him when she learns the truth or accept her fate?

I enjoyed the relationship that started budding between Tessa and David, but wished they would have had more time together. It would have helped make the feelings Tessa was feeling a little more believable. To me that part felt a little rushed. But man do I adore David and I am hoping for a happy outcome for him and Tessa in the next book. But with that cliff hanger of an ending I better be crossing my fingers and toes! Cause it doesn't look good.

Echo of an Earth Angel was a wonderful read with lots of twists that kept me guessing up until the very end. I knew something didn't sit well with me with a certain character and I was proved right. Now my interest is peaked for the second book. If you are a fan of angels and suspense this one is for you. So be sure to pick up Echo of an Earth Angel as soon as it's out.
(Which is now...since it just went live yesterday)

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and Suspenseful June 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Tessa has spent the last year in a coma recovering from a gunshot wound received during an event that claimed the lives of her parents. Now that she's awake and has been released from the hospital into the very good care of her best friend Morgan, Tessa is trying to pick up the pieces of a life that was shattered so many months ago. A life that has holes in it, making it hard to remember certain aspects and details. Then she discovers that her hands glow whenever she gets near a person with injuries or illness.

David is a fallen angel that was too compassionate when it came to deciding who he healed and who he let die. These choices were too hard for him so he fled Heaven, removed his wings, and went rogue, healing and curing anyone that he pleased without any regard to God or the course the person he healed was destined to follow. Then he saw Tessa. He saw her throw her life on the line in order to save another human being and he knew that she was special. He stuck by her side, gradually healing her, during her hospital stay. Only he healed her too much and Tessa's life will never be the same. The path she had planned out for herself will be forever altered and now David has to find a way to tell her. And protect Tessa from those who wish to harm her which means committing the ultimate sacrifice to do so.

This is an exceptional book! My love for angels as the main focus of a book has really developed over the course of the past year. I'll be honest, angels aren't my favorite theme of pretty much anything. I don't like statues, figurines, ornaments, or any type of decorations featuring them. But put these awesome creatures in a book and I'm in absolute awe. Ms. Ross is a wonderful story teller. The characters in "Echo of an Earth Angel" have been written with such finesse that they seem to be completely alive and acting out their parts in the book right in front of me.

The plot twist and shift near the end of the book was captivating and gave the book a whole new perspective. The cliffhanger ending definitely has me chomping at the bit for Book #2 of the Earth Angel Trilogy.

4.0 out of 5 stars good book! June 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Special thanks to Sarah M. Ross for providing me with an e-ARC.

Echo of an Earth Angel is definitely different from your average fallen angel story. The story follows Tessa, who has been in a coma for the past year recovering from a gunshot wound that should have killed her, and while it didn't end up killing her, it did kill her parents. This is due to David, a fallen angel, who took a liking to Tessa and healed her. The thing is he healed her a little too much, and that resulted in her becoming immortal.

The writing in this book was great! It was easy to read and funny most of the time. I really enjoyed the plot and how it took a unique spin on the fallen angel theme. It reminded me a little of the book Evermore by Alyson Noel, and only in the sense that the main character was healed and turned into an immortal. It also might be the similarities between the name David and Damen... I don't know, I recently read that book as well so that's probably part of it. Anyways, the writing was great and the plot was intriguing.

I really liked the two main characters in this book, and I guess I kind of liked the secondary characters as well. Tessa has been through a lot in her 18 years from being shot and in a coma for a year to finding out that she had lost her parents, and then waking up to find out she's an immortal. That's so much to handle, and I think she handled it in a great way. Another character that I really liked was David. He was basically kicked out of heaven because he wanted to be able heal more then the bare minimum of people, so now he's a rogue.. Also known as a fallen angel. I think the only thing that I disliked about him was that I kept mistaking his name for Daniel... I just finished Fallen by Lauren Kate, so that's probably going to be something only I do.

The romance aspect to this book was really nice. I liked that David saved Tessa and then fell in love with her. I really liked their relationship, but it kind of felt like insta-love. Actually more like a one-sided insta-love. David had a chance for his feelings to grow for Tessa, but Tessa's feelings seemed to grow rather quickly. I don't know. I might be looking to far into this, but that's how it seemed for me. Despite that I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow, and I hope they get a happy ending.

There were so many twists and turns in this book, so I was always left guessing what's going to happen next. It took me awhile to actually get engaged in the book, but once I did I couldn't set it down. As soon as the tension started to build in the book it ended, and it ended with a cliffhanger! I'm eagerly awaiting the release of book two in this series because I can't wait to see what happens next!
