Edan the Dee Jay is a true artist. Echo Party is an elevating listen, and I would recommend listening with headphones to get the full effect. If you enjoy his other mixes like Fast Rap and Sound of the Funky Drummer you will love this. It will take me about 100 more listens before I can take in everything fully. Feel the ((((((ECHOS))))))

After his classic "Beauty & The Beat", I was getting worried if whether or not Edan was gonna give us another gem (because years went by, and not one song from him). I can't emphasize enough how much that album changed my perspective on life.

Then, he does "Echo Party". CRAZY!

Its like he knows whats missing from a lot of producers in today's Hip-Hop climate.

Everything just fits perfectly. Its cathartic. I can't even fully articulate the beauty thats in this production (ALL 30 minutes of it).

Edan doesn't just mix & produce music with his ears (using his hands), he does it with his imagination. His wonder.

This album speaks to me.

Edan's 'Beauty and the Beat' was a psychedelic boom-bap masterpiece and one of 2005's best albums. Word on the street is that Edan is hard at work on his next classic.

If this 30 minute gem is any indication, Edan's next joint is going to be mind-blowingly fresh, ridiculously dope, and an ultramagnetic Space Age diamond of sonic perfection.

This is easily the best 30 minutes of music I have heard this year, a dusty, echoplexed, moog drenched b-boy delight.

Each time I listen to this I like it more.

Outerspace b-boys are body rockin' to this jam right now on a planet near you.

Aside from being one of this generations best MC's (seriously, we are talking hands-down top 5), Edan is shaping up to a peerless Master behind the boards, we are talking Jimi Hendrix style skills.

This is no exaggeration, 'Echo Party' is that wicked.

As for the packaging? Awesome!

The cd comes in a small cd-sized, hand-printed book with the most detailed liner notes I have ever seen. This mix is mapped out second-by-second with explicit instruction should one to choose to recreate 'Echo Party'.

With the current state of the music industry, and the substandard project released by so many artists and labels, I honestly do not purchase that much music lately. That being, said, this a no-brainer. An absolute must-have.

Support a true Artist and pick this up. The packing is totally rad and compliments the cd in a way that has few competitors.
