Very good for a made for TV movie. It tells the story of a teenage girl who has to go live with her father and his wife and children after her mother dies. The whole part of the friendship with the dog Thunderwith, though endearing, is not as interesting and powerful as the conflictive relationship between the teenage girl and her stepmother, wonderfully played by actress Judy Davis. If you like Davis in this movie be sure to check out Gillian Armstrong's HIGH TIDE.

My friend from overseas sent me a copy of the movie "The Echo of Thunder". When I first watched it I couldn't leave my seat. It is not an all-action film, but it's so heart warming and powerful it makes you want more. I was particuarly impressed but the actors in the film. Judy Davis and Jamey Sheridan played their parts with great enthusiasm. Lauren Hewett, a fine young actress who played the part of Lara convincingly. Chelsea Yates, a newbie I see who shows great poiential as an actress. Well Done, and the two youngest, Emily Browning and Ben Hanson were cute and fabulous. Overall, a great film with a great cast. A must see!

As I am the writer of the book Thunderwith on which this movie is based,I just want to tell you that the quality of the video is terrific. It was well reviewed in theTHUNDERWITHNew York Times when it was released and Judy Davis was nominated for an Emmy for her performance as Gladwyn- so it's a satisfying family movie. And I'd also like to ask as to advice for it to be a DVD much more ready to use these days.
Thanks for swift delivery Libby Hathorn [...]
