Echo Anatomy of Fetus,

This review is from: Echocardiographic Anatomy in the Fetus (Hardcover)
This book is a great anatomical reference tool for the clinician. The accompanying DVD was of surprising quality and content. Great product for the price as well.

This review is from: Echocardiographic Anatomy in the Fetus (Hardcover)
This is an excellent book for Pediatiric Cardiologists, Cardiac Nurses, Anatomists, Cardiac fellows, and Cardiac Sonographers. Each chapter is clear and concise in the presentation of the material with plenty of 2-D images and cross sectional pathology specimens for comparison. I highly recommend this book.

Good Introduction to Fetal Echo,

This review is from: Echocardiographic Anatomy in the Fetus (Kindle Edition)
This book was actually my first ever Kindle purchase and I'm fairly impressed with the service. I've mostly been reading it on my Nookcolor but if I want to pick up where I left off on my iPhone, I can do so with no problem. Sometimes the images aren't immediately adjacent to the corresponding text but they're never too far away either. The only downside would be that I didn't receive the DVD that comes with the print version. Although it would still be nice to have the dvd, I work in a lab where fetal echo is performed so have access to almost infinite digital media.
The book itself is a nuts and bolts introduction to the subject of Fetal Echo. If you're starting out this is an excellent first step, presenting the standard views and normal anatomy in a logical way along with some pathology. It has excellent pictures to show you how to obtain the views and shows the views alongside an artistic representation so that everything is crystal clear for the untrained eye. If you already have some experience in the field I feel like you might be disappointed in the scope of this book's instruction and information. This book doesn't seem to hit any particular topic very hard, but does in fact teach you echocardiographic anatomy in the fetus. |
