My favorite RJG book!,
By
This review is from: Echoes (Glenbrooke, Book 3) (Paperback)
In Echoes, Robin Jones Gunn creates characters that really seem to live. After a painful breakup, Lauren meets another believer, known only as K.C., on-line. They begin an intense e-mail relationship, one that others are not likely to understand. How can she be in love with a man she has never even seen? To find out how it ends, you'll have to read it for yourself. After you do, I would recommend that you go back and read the first two books in the Glenbrooke series, which give background information about other characters. And, after you read this, you'll be glad to know that Lauren and K.C. appear in other books later in the series. Enjoy!

Robin Jones Gunn does Christian Romance beautifully!,

I really really enjoyed this book. I am now reading another of hers, Sunsets, which is good also. I will have to keep on reading more of her books as they have really entertained and uplifted me. I read on my break at work and sometimes I laugh out loud because of the funny things she says in her books and I'm sure my coworkers are wondering what I'm reading. lol Anyway, I'd recommend this book! It's interesting how she and the guy met on the internet and corresponded for a year and then eventually met. I really like the christian values in her books!

Echoes explores on-line relationships. Lauren, fresh from a broken romance, "meets" KC on line, and they strike up a friendship in cyberspace. Both share a love for everything Victorian, including Robert Browning, Elizabeth Barret Browning, and English Breakfast tea. After a year of corresponding through the magic of the "Web," Lauren finally realizes that she loves KC. Circumstances allow her to finally meet him face to face, but she "chickens out" at the last minute and stands him up. Will Lauren ever meet her true love? And will he actually live up to all that she believes of him? What is God trying to tell Lauren to do with her life? This is a great Christian romance novel, and I recommend it highly.

This Book Was Wonderful!,

This review is from: Echoes (Glenbrooke, Book 3) (Hardcover)
I especially enjoyed this book because the main character was believable and likeable. The problems she faced were some many of us can relate to. The humor Robin Jones Gunn puts in her books is priceless! I especially like the fact that the recipes for all the yummy food she mentions are in the back of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone!

My Favorite Glenbrooke Book,
By Emily Webster (Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Echoes (Glenbrooke, Book 3) (Paperback)
I've read the books in the Glenbrooke Series and I've decided that I enjoy Echoes the most. It makes me think of the movie I saw with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan called You've Got Mail. The two characters in the story are having a wonderful relationship using email and you hope they'll finally get together in person.I kind of wondered when I started this book, how it would finally tie into Glenbrooke, since the main character, Lauren, lives in the south. But Robin Jones Gunn brought it all back to Glenbrooke in an interesting way. One of the reasons I enjoyed this series so much is because the books all have nice, likeable Christian characters. When you read about Glenbrooke, you wish you lived in a town like that!

The Internet vs The Sonnets, guided by God,
By A Customer
This review is from: Echoes (Glenbrooke, Book 3) (Paperback)
This is a wonderful story of modern times with a slight flavor ofhistorical romance. What would yesterday's sonnet writers think of the Internet as a form of communication? Robin Jones Gunn combines God, the Internet and the Sonnets. I enjoyed this story very much.

Grab a Box of Tissues for this Ending!,
By Hannah Lane (Georgia, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Echoes (The Glenbrooke Series #3) (Paperback)
ECHOES is a nice story for Gunn's homie series. It does have a sense of "aged" appeal due to the internet in this story was still a new thing. Now, the world technically revolves around it. But, the whole format and feel of the book was great! Irony increases, and the sweet story comes to an "interesting" ending. I'm not going to give any summary of this book, to keep you in suspense!! :)

Robin's Best Book So Far!,
By
This review is from: Echoes (Glenbrooke, Book 3) (Paperback)
This is my favorite of Robin Jones Gunn's Books. I have read all of her Glenbrooke Series except for Wildflowers. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a funny, uplifting, and hopelessly romantic book to enjoy. After I read this book I tried Irish Breakfast Tea for the first time. I was hooked. Everytime I have a cup I think of Lauren and Kenton. Keep up the good work, Robin!

Best of the Series,
By
This review is from: Echoes (Glenbrooke, Book 3) (Paperback)
All of the Glenbrooke books are wonderful (maybe not Sunsets as much as the rest), but Echoes is by far the best, in my opinion. Lauren's character reflects our own, and the romance of words is beautiful. :) Definitely read it.
