I had known about the genocide in Sudan since the 90's and had already seen the videos God Grew Tired of Us and the Lost Boys but I still learned a lot about the events that led the Sudanese to flee to Kakuma. I recommend this graphic novel.

Echoes of The Lost Boys of Sudan is an exceptional graphic novel. The story, told in stunning art work, is truly educational, a true story of survival against overwhelming odds. It's sometimes hard to imagine that these boys had to endure so much suffering in order to obtain what we may take for granted, our freedom and democracy. Well done, James Disco, well done, indeed.
