I bought several Rainforest CD's in an effort to get relaxing rain sounds. This is my favorite one because there are no SCREAMING birds/animals!!! This CD has three tracks...Tropical Rain, which is perfect to fall asleep to...sounds like rain hitting leaves, Jungle River...sounds more like a small water fountain...but still relaxing, and Birdsong...which is still relaxing because there are no screaming birds...which I found to be a very common theme in my other rainforest cds. There is no music with these tracks!!! Which I love because why would you want chessy music when you're trying to relax with the sounds of nature???!!!??? It's great to fall asleep to or just to relax to...Hope you enjoy it. :-)

I find this an excellent CD for creating my own soothing environment at the office. It drowns out office chatter while not creating its own distraction as music sometimes does. It has that "white noise" unobtrusiveness but at the same time is not completely monotonous -- rain, rushing water, and bird calls flow along. Great for when you're trying to concentrate.

This is a wonderful all-purpose CD! When I first put it on,it sounded TERRIBLE! The 'rain' sounded like popcorn popping;the birdcalls sounded like kids screaming. I was tempted to pop it out then and there. But I gave it about 5 minutes,and it improved! A relaxing rain rhythm began and more birds started singing. I sat and listened to the entire CD!
There are 3 tracks: Tropical Rain(my favorite!),Jungle River(I hate this one- but then I never did like bubbly water noises),and Birdsong(boring but relaxing). The entire CD is about an hour long,so it's hard to get tired of!
Get this CD!You'll probably want to take it everywhere with you! A tremendous value!

You'd think that recording quality would not be an issue with these "background" CDs, but some are terrible. In contrast, this one was well-engineered.

This is a good CD, but not the best one. I have got various rainforest CDs in the past. Some were terible and some were great. Most of the Echos of Nature CDs are pretty good. The only problem is that if you here 10 sceconds of each track, you pretty much heard the whole CD.

I have listened to many 'sounds of nature', and this one ranks in the top 10. Buy it, You'll Love It!

If you want the sounds of a rain forest - this is it. My wife wanted it for her pre school class. The little kids love it. There is an obnoxiously loud bird on the CD - but there are probably obnoxiously loud birds in the rain forest. Very clear sound.

Oddly enough this is a lovely cacophony of a tropical rainforest with lots of rain plunking on large leaves along with birds giving their opinion about the whole thing...LOL It's lively & fun.

I put it on for my parrot when I leave the house. She sings in response to the other parrots she hears!

This was purchased as a gift. Reports from the recipient are all positive. The sound of rain is calming to her. When she has difficulties sleeping, rain is a big help. She said that this is the best CD of this type that she owns and that it is the next best thing to the real thing.

The only reason that I didn't give it a higher score is that this review is not based on my personal experience. I'm reluctant to give a 5-star rating without that.
