If you're looking for the soothing sounds of a deep woods riverside, this CD is it. No music, just an excellent recording of babbling brooks, rapids, and some of the wild birds. A great sleep inducer. Highly recommended.

I don't know how anybody can say this CD is very short - it's 60 minutes long! And how many tracks do you need? It's nature. I think it delivers exactly what is promised: river sounds. If you like the sound of running water, I think you will like this CD. The production quality is excellent. Sometimes running water tends to sound like static when recorded, but not here.

This CD puts me to sleep -- which is a good thing. In addition to the babbling water, there are bird and other forest sounds, but nothing is too loud or jarring. I put this in my CD player, press 'repeat' and drift away. If you share a house with snorers, it's either environmental recordings like this one or earplugs!

I have been backpacking for 25 years and this sounds just like the small streams in the backcountry. Very relaxing and very soothing. Yes, there is a track with frogs and crickets but it provides subtle background noise that is not too annoying.

i've been falling asleep to this disc for more than 10 years - can't sleep w/o it -- i've gotten my husband hooked as well, and just bought another to bring with me when i'm on the road!

often, when nature sounds are coupled with music, they become obscured by the instrumentation playing along with it. also, i have found it hard to fall asleep to this 'nature music,' as with repetitive play, i begin to memorize the melodies and become distracted by them. this cd is the perfect remedy -- just bare nature, ideal white noise.

This is one of several cd's I use to get to sleep. It relaxes me instantly. I play this on a repeat mode and it helps me sleep all night.

but it sounds like running bath water. I too have had exposure to real woods, real rivers - this is not it.
