What a journey! What an adventure! How refreshing to find a book without all the violence and sex to tell the story. Instead, "Echoes from the Sun" is a spiritual journey full of adventure and ideas that prodded my being. I felt I was asking the questions and seeking the answers along with the character. It is not always a cakewalk. I felt this was an honest look at the journey we are all on. Some of us look deep some of us ignore. There was no ingoring here.

The meaning and significance of writings and stories (as we know to be true
through the history of religion) can be interpreted very differently from
person to person depending on their own experiences and understandings;
often times even different from the authors intent. So I therefore
cautiously say that the book articulates a desire to live life well in
happiness, in love, respectfully to all that the earth offers including
nature (which is an obvious love of the author) and all encompassing of teachings
from various religions and belief systems. For this positivism (not found in
large numbers) I give the author five stars!!*****

While I don't personally resonate with theistic or polytheistic beliefs, I do
resonate with the journey and quest the main character Fiel is on, a state of
confusing emotions, conflicting beliefs; sifting through it all in attempt
to seek clarity and understanding about life only to discover that an
absolute truth is not found. The moment one resolves in finding absolute
truth is the moment in my opinion, that one goes down a dangerous path of
unhappiness and feeling unfulfilled. I think this book demonstrates that to
a degree. I also resonated with the main characters feelings of personal happiness even though
he was often alone physically as well feeling alone perhaps in his world
views. I would describe it as feeling as though one speaks a "foreign language"
amongst the masses.

I would recommend it to those that are open minded, those perhaps on a
personal spiritual journey and those, fortunately to the world, that are
brave enough to question everything including that which they hold to be
factual. A thought provoking quest that is well articulated.

ECHOES FROM THE SUN has a taste of everything that makes a good story. There is plenty of adventure and mystery with a generous amount of historical background. A touch of romance enhances the delightful flavor. Above all, the deep spiritual insights woven through the pages will challenge your perception of what is real, and cause you to do some serious self-examination. Based on a true story, entwined with the author's own experiences as he seeks to verify the history, ECHOES is a journey that will take you to new places in your heart.

Echoes is an eloquently written journey that begins in a remote Baja village. The exciting and interesting adventure is rich with well researched history, archaeology, science, religion, spirituality, friendship, love and light. The author bravely and generously shares some of his own deep feelings and vulnerabilities. I couldn't put this book down. Months later I find myself still thinking deeply about this story and about my own quest for truth and purpose.

"Echoes from the Sun" takes you on an epic wave of adventure, mystery and struggle between greatness and fear.

The main character, Fiel dives deep within to discover awareness, realization and even basic survival. The story flows, peaks, pauses and then drops you into an exciting ride that delivers deep metaphysical gems as the quest unfolds.

Both nature and urban landscapes hurl seemly insurmountable challenges at this young, yet brave seeker. I really enjoyed how Ari crafts the numerous wonderfully detailed backdrops; arid desert cliffs, rich European country side and serene California coastline.
Fiel is well supported by an interesting cast of mentors along the way; a mystical elder, a brilliant professor and an earthy Bruha. Even thousands of miles from home, a lovely Italian women, Tania crosses paths with Fiel, lending her trust and friendship to his aspiration.

Ari story explores the people and places of everyday life to point out deep hidden meanings; sensing the subtle signs can show us our way on life's foggy road. Finding his way became crucial for Fiel, as he came face to face with the supreme question: if you possess unlimited power, the power of the sun, how would you use it?

For this who have visualized changing the world for the better, this book may bring back some of your youth.

A native Southern California, local musician, surfer and traveler; Ari is the real thing and relates many of his own 'enlightening' experiences though out the story. I know Ari from the local drumming and kirtan music communities and perform with him regularly. I am delighted to see my soulful friend expressing and sharing his writing talent in such a deep and entertaining way.

Echoes from the Sun is an engaging and compelling adventure that leads us on a magical journey of discovery and awakening. Beautifully crafted with a meticulous eye for detail the author paints in rich detail the thoughts and emotions of the characters and the stunning landscapes of Baja and Italy.

Each of us is on an invisible road that is our unique life's journey -a dance of joy and sadness, adventure and reflection, meetings and departures, hope and fear, disappointment and fulfillment. Fortunate are those who are aware of their journey while they are on it and savor it to the fulness! Only later in life do most people reflect on what has been, and what might have been, their life's pathway.

We all are born with a sense of adventure and wonder that is unbounded in its possibilities. As we move through life we become increasingly more "practical" and "realistic" which means surrendering our sense of magic and possibility for a false sense of security. Echoes from the Sun is an opportunity to regain the magic of the possible and to reawaken our dreams and aspirations.

The joy of surfing the waves of words so eloquently written by the author is in both the sheer joy of the adventure and, perhaps more importantly, the lessons that we may learn that seep into our awareness as we travel the pages in our mind.

The best storytelling has many layers beautifully and carefully interwoven together. Some layers reveal themselves while we are reading. Other layers emerge as the story deepens. The deepest layers may only emerge when we reach those points on our own journey where their meaning becomes real and personal to us. This adventure is a tapestry which continually changes depending on your point of observation and engagement.
