This is the kind of music that really gets in your head and makes you go "Ahhhhh...." wasn't that sweet. it's pretty good, and you don't get sick of it that often. I'd recommend it to any non-germans speaking people who wish to explore their music

With 4 years of high school German in my past, I was curious to hear this self-titled CD by the 5-man group "Echt." (All the lyrics are in German.) So I went ahead and bought it with no knowledge of their "sound." Well, this is an excellent CD in the pop/rock genre.

Echt's musical sound varies from the ethereal/mystical ("Alles wird sich andern," "Mein kleines Universum") to youthful angst and vulnerability ("Fort von mir," "Ich leg mich hin"), to a harder-edged rock sound (Auf der sonnigen Seite"). The final song on the CD is a haunting, tenderly performed ballad ("Wo bist Du jetzt?). All of the vocal and instrumental performances on this CD are outstanding. Whether or not you can understand German, I highly recommend this CD.

If you're interested in hearing german language music, this is definately the album I'd recommend. The songs are fun and upbeat, plus the lyrics aren't too difficult for those learning the language.
