A READING FOR SOUL,
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
I believe Paul T. wanted us to use this book to go within for our own answers to the fascinating material here. To create our own path in a sense. The discussions of the life cycles and planets are absolutely intriguing. As with other Eckankar perspectives, it's a most high viewpoint on how life works and how to find God in our actual experience. How to be happier, to serve live more fully and realize that we're eternal beings here to learn divine love. I suggest that anyone check out the ECK (holy spirit) writings; perhaps they will be your greatest discovery in any lifetime!

Study of Life Cycles, light years away from astrology.,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
The ECK-Vidya has something for everyone. If you wonder why you live a life of ups-and-downs, this book can give you some answers. It goes much further than astrology which limits itself within the material universe. It tells about ECK Masters that are still living in their bodies after centuries of their birth. It also tells about the Ancient Science of Prophecy. That book explores countless realms all accessible through easy contemplative or meditative techniques. It shows ways to delve into your pastlives, and to conquer the fear of death. You can get more information on ECK at: http://www.eckankar.org

Good book but a little advanced as a first book about Eckankar,
By A.F. (MN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
Good book but a little advanced and complicated as a first book about Eckankar. Probably more background info is required before reading it.
Try the tigers fang or the flute of God by the same author first. The book the spiritual exercises of ECK by Harold Klemp and also Autobiography of a modern prophet by Harold Klemp are also vary good as is the spiritual laws of ECK. The knowledge and techniques contained in these books are way above that of astrology/numerology/ or metaphysics. They deal with our true self Soul...how to expand our consciousness toward self and God realization and the law of love rather then the mind and mechanics of the universe.

old book but a classic for learning prophecy and prediction,
By truestar "a" (iraq) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
This is a very old (1960's) book written by Paul Twitchell, the founder of Eckankar, a spiritual path that teaches many different ways to find God in your life. The development of psychic abilities is just another turn in the road, and is addressed throughout their literature. The utmost personal responsibility is taught, so that when these things naturally develop as you grow in your own spirituality, they are not abused, nor used for publicity or ego. It is a new concept to develop and keep it to yourself, and to just keep going. To learn that there was another plane of spirituality ABOVE and beyond the psychic one was a new concept to me when I first read this book--it prompted me leaving all the psychic toys behind to SEE what was past it. Then these became 'tools' to use when needed but only for your own personal spiritual journey--never to interfere with anothers spiritual space. This old book shows techniques to view the time track and develop these abilities. It is a good exercise to learn, and a good tool to have when you need it. But as he states--there is so much more beyond!

Secrets are NOT for everyone.,
By W. E. Grissom "Bill" (Oregon United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
This book is definitely not for everyone. You need some understanding of Eckankar (at least subconciously) and a desire to explore the depths of God (Sugamd) that few ever go. This book is deep on all levels. So what can you get out of this? If you learn the Code, all the wisdom of Sugmad will be open to you.May The Blessings Be.

Unreadable,
By
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
Lord knows, I tried. I understand Mr. Twitchell used to give Eck-Vidya readings for a couple of thou for the wealthier chelas back in the 1960s, but NO one does them now. And you supposedly need a 'master' to help you with this. Good luck with that.
Even more egregious, are the reviews for this and other Eck books a recruitment tactic for this cult?

A deeper look at prophecy and past life experiences.,

This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
Paul Twitchell brought to seekers of spiritual insight a new way to learn firsthand about the art of prophecy and how to access past life experiences, a method unlike any other I've ever found.

The Living Eck Master,
By JOSE ROSALES "JOSE" (BARRANQUILLA, COLOMBIA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Eck-Vidya (Paperback)
Complicated, and incoherent book. In each page the author mentions the 'living Eck Master' (without this master you are unable to use cycles). Writen almost all in first person, is very hard to read. Do not waste your time with this book. This book lacks of originality, and maybe, authenticity. I recommend this book only to some ECKist. If you want to know about Cycles, I recommend a really good book., 'Selfmastery and Fate with the cycles of the life', by H. Spencer Lewis.
