Product Description

**DVD Region - All EXCEPT REGION 7

Eckhart Tolle's New York Times bestsellers 'The Power of Now' (New World Library, 2004) and 'A New Earth' (Penguin, 2008) are considered two of the most important spiritual works of our time, combining for nearly 10 million books in print. His simple message: 'If you want to change the world, the place to start is this very moment.' But for many who have encountered this increasingly urgent teaching, the question is how to apply this to daily life. Presenting an all-new series of practical talks first shared on Eckhart Tolle TV, a flourishing online community with members from 130 countries. Inspired by what he describes as the evolutionary
impulse to assist in humanity's collective spiritual awakening, Eckhart
designed these sessions to take listeners beyond the introductory
material offered in his public appearances. This beautiful collector's
edition reveals an Eckhart Tolle few have met.

'Teachings to Awaken Consciousness:
The Best of Eckhart Tolle TV - Season One.' Seven DVD sessions include:
-'The Current Economy' - Eckhart points us toward the hidden
opportunities in this seemingly 'dreadful' time.
-'The Gift of Nature' - explores the many ways in which nature can
help us return to the fullness of presence.
- 'Eckhart on Emerson' - a look at the essays of Ralph Waldo Emerson, which Eckhart calls 'writing of rare depth and truth.'
-Q&A session with Eckhart followed by a guided Presence Through
Movement practice with Kim Eng.

The most powerful thing we can do to build a better future is to live fully right now. The opportunity is ours with 'Creating a New Earth.'

5.0 out of 5 stars Eckhart Tolle: Creating a new earth. May 21, 2011

Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
The seven DVD came in a beautiful box. The sound and picture quality are excellent. In the first 6 DVD, the author talked about spiritual awakening, the true Self, how to cure thinking problems with the practice of livinng in the present moment and Meditation. The last DVD was reserved for Q & A and relaxation practice with Kim Eng. Eckhart Tolle's teachings are very easy to understand but profound. They are in the same line with the teachings of The Buddha and Krishnamurti. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eckhardt Tolle January 4, 2013

This was a requested gift by my son for Christmas . The library in his city cannot keep it on the shelf as it usually has a long hold list. And available only for a shorter period when it becomes available.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed November 1, 2012
By David
Format:DVD
After a couple weeks of listening to materials put out by Tolle, I was feeling great. I had never read or heard any of this type of spiritual stuff, and was really getting into it. I was working to buy in to what this man was saying. I wanted to learn more, such as how to meditate, so I signed up for Tolle TV. Unfortunately, this is where the curtain of peace and tranquility dropped and exposed a nasty (and I would think illegal in some way) business practice that is not at all in line with Tolle's teachings. I signed up for the 6 month, $99 package.

After signing up I discovered they restrict your access to just a few videos per month, on topics you may or may not be interested in, and only one that I found even had Tolle in it. When you search for other content, or follow the links on the main page for additional content that they are driving customers to, they try to charge you more money.

I contacted customer service (if you can call it that - very unhelpful and accusatory) to see if maybe I was doing something wrong, or maybe there was an error with my account. NOPE! No error they assured me, every month they post a few videos, and that is what you paid for. If you want to access any other material other than those few videos that month, they charge you $15 a pop. Ridiculous.

I canceled my subscription. I am searching for a way to get in touch with Tolle directly, to see if he is aware of the thievery that is being executed in his name. I hope he has no knowledge of these nasty tactics, and that maybe one day this way of scamming followers will be eliminated. In the meantime, save your money and watch videos for free on YouTube - there are many more on there than I found on his website anyhow!

2.0 out of 5 stars Tolle's cross, not the Cross of the Bible June 7, 2011
Format:DVD
I think people, writers, and critics, self-help books hear this call, people demanding a sign, something of meaning, if they are in some kind of religion, they want to put the best into it. If they are not religious, they want to have the best kind of psychology and meaning. There's some difference between the two worth consideration and discussion. The people writing these books think they are making a sign, but if they swerve all around to counter philosophies, from Buddhism, to Eastern philosophies, trying to make a coherent picture, the issue is that these different beliefs do not fit together in the same book that creates a Christian renewal and vision or framework for understanding the mind, and improving the human inter-relational view, from friendships, to family views, to marriage and parenthood. To say "This, too, will pass" sounds good, because it quotes a famous George Harrison song, but it is not a holistic pro-creational view that gets the ego moving in the positive inter-relational view of a more related and central soul beliefs vision of harmony. To say "This, too, will pass" neglects the need to recreate dysfunctional systems, in the person, in the ego, the center part where the person decides what to think, how to feel, what to create and input into the views of the people around, what to add, in becoming more whole. And, it doesn't relate to a vision of dualism really where some government systems and social systems are wrong, will not pass without being forced, and where people are eliminated for beliefs by evil decision makers who have power, dictators,
Anyone could take the right view of this book, it is artistic, but not holistically correct.
