Don't buy the Eclipsemp3 player. It loses battery after 1 picture taken with the camera feature, and after 30 minutes of play time of music installed on to the device. The ear phone fits a large ear, which is to big for my ear. The only thing good on it is the radio, and it's just FM. The battery will last up to 4 hours using the radio. The device itself is very complicated when trying to get to what you want to do with it, such as finding the music you want to listen too, takes several steps to get to it and then it isn't all where you thought it should be.
It isn't even worth $5.00. Eclipse Eclipse-180 G2 Rd 4GB MP3 Music and Video Player (Red)

This ECLIPSE MP3 player is SO REMARKABLY BAD, and I'm so upset that I spent all night trying to program it, and charge the battery, that I want to make sure NOBODY has an experience like mine. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT DOES NOT WORK.
MAJOR PROBLEMS----------------
1. CHARGING It took over 8 hours to charge. However, it might be charged, or not, because after 8 hours, it said it wasn't charged. Yet, when I just gave up, and unplugged it from the computer, the battery indicator light said it was charged. So, you will NEVER know if its charged or not. AND, it takes forever to charge.

2. THE MUSIC DOES NOT LIST UNDER ANY HEADING. The only songs that are listed, are these 50-6o songs that are PREPROGRAMED into this piece of junk. Plus, the songs preprogrammed in here, are just terrible country songs, and some local heavy metal band, plus a few religious songs. THOSE songs come up under the genre heading. But, the classical, jazz, and so forth that I programmed. THESE songs don't list under genre or album.

3. NO WAY TO ACCESS YOUR SONGS---I did get songs to program. Of those 750 songs I programmed, you have to SCROLL thru each song, to get to the next one. AND, the scroll function DOES NOT WORK! IT took at least 5 minutes, to scroll thru about 40 songs. Then, when I tried to select a song to play, it would play the song next to it. SO, if you want to play an album, an artist, or a genre, you are OUT OF LUCK, because it wont put the songs you download into those categories. The songs in the middle of my 750 song list, I cant locate. Maybe if I took a half hour, or longer, I could scroll to them. I'm not exaggerating either .

My daughter received this for Christmas. It would not hold a charge. Trying to contact company was very SLOW and frustrating. They required I pay to ship it back for a refund. It was a GIFT. A refund does not help my daughter to have a MP3 player. Disappointed with the merchandise AND the company.

It's unethical to sell a such a crummy product. Tried to charge it overnight and it won't hold a charge. It's completely dead and my daughter is very disappointed because it was a Christmas present. Don't buy this mp3 player!!!

I bought two of them - one for each of my daughters - for Xmas. One didn't hold a charge at all. The other held a charge for about 10 minutes - and then promptly died.

What they all said before me, and: I lost (or so I thought) my old Coby 8gb player. I wanted something quick to use at the gym. This was all that was available at Kmart. I took the first one back because it would not function properly. My second one worked a little better.
This is an almost impossible unit to use. Yes it will add the songs to a list (unlike what someone said here), but you have to sync it while it's plugged in and have just down loaded songs. The manual doesn't tell you that. With this unit that may have been an accident. Once you sync it it will add albums to the different lists by Album, Artist, etc. it even alphabetizes the list... but get this! It then alphabetizes all the songs on each album so the songs are not in the original order. You have to go to 'internal memory' to get your original downloads. It lists albums in the order of downloading. F can come before A, or C or whatever, but the original song order is correct. Maybe you don't care about that but it drove me crazy. Who ever wrote the programming for this thing is probably unemployed... or shoud be.
To access the sub menu under music, the music has to be playing. It won't go there otherwise. Another thing the manual left out. Once I finally got to the submenu, the EQ settings pretty much all sound like crap. I went back to normal setting after trying them all out including the user programmable setting.
I found my coby the other day and so I can say that my memory is still in tack. The coby sounds better that the Eclipse. Not a LOT better, but better. The Eclipse has a tendancy to have 'dropouts' or momentary losses of sound. It's not total silence, but for a brief second most of the sound goes away. This is a rather frequent occurance and VERY irritating.

Didn't get this from Amazon, but bought it to replace my original generation Sansa Fuse which was a decent mp3 player. Immediately I found the interface confusing but after an hour of trial and error got it to where I could understand how to make it work. With my good quality Razer earbuds, the sound was barely acceptable after spending another hour just trying to work the controls to customize the EQ. Then the battery died after two days. Took it back and got a new one which was apparently updated because the use interface was just ever so slightly different. But the end result was the same as the battery died after one charge. Time to get my money back.

There should probably be a law somewhere on the books that makes it criminal to sell something of this poor quality. Even then, people will still buy it because of the price. You have been warned.
