Sweep 12: Eclipse!,
By Aleisha (Lake Mary, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eclipse (Sweep, No. 12) (Paperback)
This book is from both Morgan and Alisa's point of view. During a circle one night Morgan gets a message from Ciaran telling her he knows she put the watch sigil on him, he's not mad, and he's on his way to Widow's Vale. Morgan feels ready to crash She doesn't need this. She's still upset about Rose McEwan and at Hunter. On top of that Mr. Niall dislikes and distrusts Morgan because of her heritage. Then Ciaran shows up and asks Morgan to join him. When she refuses he tells her that her loved ones will pay for her decision. Morgan knows this means a dark wave and she's dead set on stopping it at all costs. Alisa thinks she's just a normal girl until one day at the Rowlands she finds a book in Morgan's backpack that she is irresistabley drawn to. It turns out to be a BOS. While reading it Alisa discovers that the book belonged to her mother, which means Alisa is a half-witch. Also Alisa realizes she was the one causing all the "accidents" in Strife. Alisa can feel that something is up with Morgan, Hunter, and Mr. Niall, and she's willing to help them. This book was sooo good. I was so proud of what Morgan did in regards to Ciaran. In this you start to like Alisa a little more.

Recommended to Parents who cant get their daughters to read,
By El Brujo "Brujo Hechisero" (Lowell, Ma) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eclipse (Sweep, No. 12) (Paperback)
I purchased the Sweep series for my 13 year old daughter in the hopes that maybe she would read. "She hated to read." Well I was amazed, and could not get her to go to sleep, as she would spend the whole night, with a night-light on reading these books. She enjoyed them so much, and could not stop talking first about Cal and then Hunter, that I had to see what all the fuss was about.Well after two weeks, a book a day, for a girl who hated to read, it sparked my curiosity, so I started reading, and was surprised to find out how enjoyable a Teen book about Teen Witches could be. I am not really into Wicca, but these books are really enjoyable. I am on my fifth book, and my daughter read each twice, and is know on the Circle of Three Series. I have to highly recommend these books to those parents who can not get their daughters to read. These are excellent stories, full of fantasy, horror, and fun.

Morgan and Alisa Join Forces,
By
This review is from: Eclipse (Sweep, No. 12) (Paperback)
Morgan is back and so is Alisa. For those who don't remember, Alisa is the girl who is scared by Morgan because strange telekinetic things happen when they are together and she feels Morgan is unable to control her power. One day, at practical magic, Morgan picks up a Book Of Shadows from the seventies. This is actually on we have seen excerpts from in a previous book. But when Alisa is visiting Mary K. (Morgans younger sister), she steals the book. The book winds up revealing things about Alisa's family and just who Alisa is. As Alisa begins to deal with her situation, she gets caught up with Morgan, Hunter and Hunter's father as a new and serious danger threatens them and much of Widow's Vale. The story switches back and forth from Morgan's point of view to Alisa's. There are no excerpts starting each chapter, but there are some interesting quotes. A good book that seems to really move the series towards a conclusion. On a side note, does anyone else thing the town should change its name to Widowers Vale? Morgan, Alisa and Hunter are all missing mothers. Plenty of widowers and no widows.

Finally another good book,
By Eimi Star (Boston, Ma) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eclipse (Sweep, No. 12) (Paperback)
After the disapointment of books 10 and 11 I almost gave up on the Sweep Series, but I am very glad to have given the series one more chance. This book returns to Morgan and all the troubles she's going through, but the story is also told through Alisa's perceptive which gives the story more depth. In this book Alosa finds out about her background, which we've already read a little bit about in Sweep 9 (Strife). Morgan also runs into her birth father again, which ends in surprising consiquences. This book was excellent and I can't wait untill the next book comes out.

Accomplished Excellence,
By RStanton (Pittsburgh,Pa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eclipse (Sweep, No. 12) (Paperback)
This installment of the Sweep series was FULL of action compared to some books that weren't so thrilling, but still kept me reading. It's such a shame that the series is ending; you could really tell from this book. It was all very rushed. We all know the action in this book could have been drawn out into multiple books! But, the series must end. When I first glanced over the book before reading, I didn't think I would enjoy Alisa's(who seems to become more mature about magick here) point-of-view as much as I did! Too bad Alisa wasn't as much in the series until now!(Yes, even though Hunter is still the best character in my opinion.) Sadly and anxiously I await no. 13!

I read the very first book in this series about 2 weeks ago. I loved it so much, that I bought the rest of the series the next day...(I read fast, and these books are rather short in pages). I just finished reading the last book published and I truly love this series. Before this series, I always turned away from books with this subject. I had a friend IRL who was big time into Wicca and he totally turned me off from it. Only I found out 3 years later that he didnt know what he was doing and lied 99% of the time, so no wonder I hated it. He made it seem really stupid. Anyhow, I came across the first book accidently and read it because I had nothing else to read, and I love books. So I read it and couldn't put it down. I literaly had it finished in 3 hours. And now, I am very interested in learning about Wicca. And I love this series. But I have been hearing that book NO. 14 will be the LAST in this series. I hope its not true, but I don't know where people are getting this information either so I can confirm it. All I can do is hope that the author reads these reviews and sees how many of us SWEEP fans LOVE her series and don't want her to quit. But if it has to happen..so be it. Just as long as the last books ends things nice, and we know what happens to the characters etc. What I'd like to see happen is Morgon and Hunter staying together forever. And also, somehow bring Cal back even if it's just in a vision, and He and Morgon get some closer also. But I am really gonna pray for the series to continue.

Great book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Eclipse (Sweep, No. 12) (Paperback)
In my opinion book 12 was one of the best in the sweep series. It was action an action packed thriller that had not only morgans point of view but also Alisa's point of view. Ciran comes for a visit, telling Morgan he forgives her and wants her to join him...but there's a catch if she doesn't, that even Morgan doesn't know. Towards the end its very emotional, espically for morgan, a last resort takes place to stop whats comming to take everything she loves and cares for.
