I bought this because it is safe for pets...couldn't risk the health of my puppy. I used it as directed when I found two bedbugs that migrated from my neighbor's apartment. It work really well, but be advised that there is a smell. No, it's not offensive or nauseating, but it's definitely different and you'll notice it up to 2 hours after use. So be sure to open the window if you use a large amount.

Having chronic allergies to toxic chemicals and household exposures, I decided to give natural ELF for Bed Bugs a try with some skepticism after a recent alarming outbreak. I am now spraying ELF for Bed Bugs as directed in every room that I detected and suspected Bed Bugs. I also tested the solution on my forearm without any reaction. It has no chemical smell and doesn't affect my allergies. So far, there have been no new bites or blood spots on my sheets in the morning! But I have found bed bug remains to vacuum up by the back edge of my headboard.
I have tried to follow the directions carefully and treated the entire surfaces of my Mattress and box springs, on every side...then sprayed my bed frame, head board, foot board, carpeting, and the rest of the furniture like they said. I also noticed a couple of cracks near the wall outlets and corners that look like possible nesting areas, so I was very careful to spray without directly wetting the live plugs.
The instructions also had me spray and inspect all my furniture, baseboards, curtains, pictures, especially furniture just gotten from somewhere else (they say that this is one of the more common ways that the Bed Bugs arrive on the scene). In my case, I had just moved some things back from the lake house. At first it seemed like a nuisance, but it really is better being clean, organized, and Bed Bug Free again!
I sprayed the solution everywhere I found that bugs can hide and have repeated every day now. I'm going to spray every day for a week. Then as the directions say, use it every other day for another week. That makes sense to me, because as eggs may hatch, and they probably will, that should knock out the new babies and cut the cycle.
Another great benefit I was happy to discover is that ELF safely kills fleas and mites without inflaming the old hot spots on one of our dogs. That has been truly amazing and a relief to him, so I'm going to recommend ELF to our Vet and anyone who wants to safely kill small aggravating bugs dead!

I sprayed directly onto a live bed bug, not once but 3 times.

After 2 hours it is still alive and well. This is actually a smaller bug.

Very disappointing considering things around the house could probably do a better job at this.

I am not sure how it works with other insects and bugs, but if you are looking to use this as a bed bug killer,it didn't do the job for me. It does kill them allright, but only if you spray them directly on them bugs, plus the effect does not seem to last for long.I sprayed around my mattress,box spring and frame before i went to sleep and work up with bites around 3 AM.The effect is short lived and it does not repel them.
There are much better and cheaper products for bed bugs like Pronto and SteriFab.

The one good thing is that is eco friendly and does not have a chemical smell and can be used on your mattress and pillows.But i wouldn't recommend this for bed bugs.

This take time to kick in. As it doesn't kill within seconds. It reduces the amount of bed bugs within a week. I used 2 bottles over a month and don't get bites as bad as I had it before. It doesn't work on eggs. So the little one are still here somewhere. I recommend using this in conjunction with a steam cleaner. Vacuum after a few days of treatment. The smell is strong but it's safe to use on surfaces you contact.

its safe for bugs. They just go swimming in this stuff.

Bottom line, this doesn't work. Might as well smear yourself with lime jello and spray
your place down with Windex or Fresca, that would be just as effective. As some people
have mentioned, this stuff does smell like vinegar, so you could probably could use this
to make a decent salad dressing after you find out its no help for what you bought it for.

I purchased this spray because I have a toddler and 2 dogs in my house and wanted to make sure any kind of pesticide would be safe to use around them. I noticed a Cheyletiella mite problem in my son's room when I saw these tiny little critters (aka "walking dandruff) crawling around a laptop that had been on the floor. They probably came from my dogs--I put frontline on the dogs (which I read can get rid of them). I then thoroughly vacuumed the carpet in my son's room and doused the entire place, his stuffed animals included, with this spray. I let the room air out all day, because this stuff smells like vinegar. Well, the next morning, the little mites were still found crawling all over my laptop, so it didn't work. I now probably have to toss out the carpet in his room, or resort to more toxic methods of pest control, which I'm not willing to do for my child and pets' safety.

The smell lingers for a long time and it really aggrevated my sinus. Open windows before using and leave room for 1/2hr to 1hr after use.

Great product, very satisfied. Got Scabies from the Nursing Home my mother is in. UGH! what a nightmare.
I used this on my bed, in my drawers, on the furniture, in my car etc.
The only thing I would change, is the smell....it is is quite annoying, but doesn't linger, which is a good thing.
