If you think that "green sex" is something you do with a leprechaun under a rainbow on St. Paddy's Day you need to read this book. ASAP. Eco-Sex: Go Green Between the Sheets and Make Your Love Life Sustainable will open your mind to the vast possibilities for "sustainable" love.

Stefanie Weiss' book is easy to read and very straight forward. She provides lots of ideas and useful products for anyone who wants their romantic life to be eco-friendly. The book also gives you a lot of URLs to get you started on your way.

Eco-sex is more than just the act itself. It's everything you do to get ready for the act. Think about your hair and makeup. Think about the sheets on the bed. Think about mood lighting. There are eco-friendly options for all these things. Weiss also makes you think about the consequences of sex (eco or not) which is children. Each unwanted child is that much more stress on an over populated planet. Some methods of birth control are more environmentally friendly than others. It's always good to know your options. Informed decisions are the best decisions.

While a lot of the URLs in the book are American they're a good place to start. With a little bit of searching anyone will be able to find local options for almost everything in the book. Reading this book opened my mind to what eco-sex is. I'm sure it will do the same for you.

Ms. Weiss does a great job of reviewing hundreds of products and making suggestions for making your life greener. The title of the book and her writing throughout are so trendy that it makes for easy reading.

Of course no one can implement all the things she reviews and recommends. Nonetheless, from making your room a peaceful sanctuary to lubricants and toys and romance, she is thorough in offering ideas of how anyone can make incremental changes in their bedrooms.

Most of all, she is on the mark when it comes to making your bedroom a safe place--more free from toxic chemicals normally found in just about everything--including sleeping on an organic mattress made with natural latex. I sleep on a Savvy Rest mattress, and it is definitely the go to company for a green mattress.

If you are looking to make your house a little more free from chemicals, and if you can either like the trendy writing or can get past it, I wholeheartedly recommend this as a reference book.

I have been ranting and raving about this book to all of my friends ever since I first read it; the minute I found myself flying through the pages of "Eco-Sex" (wearing a variety of faces that ranged from horrified to extremely amused), I wanted to share everything I'd learned with those I loved the most.

Weiss' book is a veritable treasure trove of information, and she presents it to the reader in a really accessible, engaging way, which is a huge favor to those of us who can't imagine having to do all the research that must have gone into the making of "Eco-Sex".

Weiss does a great job at suggesting a variety of alternatives to mainstream (read: non-ecofriendly, and non-body friendly) options for anything from sex toys and lubricants to make-up, body care, and bedding. Plus, she tells you just why the mainstream alternatives are so dangerous for your body. Her personal recommendations are on-par, too, like the JimmyJane massage candles (which are, I will say from experience, luxurious and heavenly-- and safe for your skin!)

Without a doubt, I'd say "Eco-Sex" is one of the most comprehensive, thorough and engaging books about personal health we have out there today. Weiss' voice makes for a really great first-read, and the vast amount of info in "Eco-Sex" makes it an awesome reference book to have on hand whenever you're making your next personal purchase; no matter how "personal" it might be, Weiss has got you covered. If you care about your health on all levels, I urge you to read "Eco-Sex". And with Valentine's Day right around the corner, it'd make a fun gift for anyone you want to treat well this year :) I truly hope it falls into your hands soon.

Eco-sex is a comprehensive book about greening your life with the focus on the bedroom. It's printed on recycled paper and has a cover that is public-appropriate. Weiss covers every aspect of the dating world starting with getting ready for a date. You'll find tips on safe bath products, make up, food, linens, jewelry, and even birth control included in these pages. To make this even more of a must-have book, Weiss even includes some do-it-yourself recipes for face masks, perfumes, massage oils, and natural aphrodisiac laden meals to seduce your honey. The tips intended for make you and your bedroom safe and sexy actually can be applied to your everyday life. And if you haven't met that special someone yet? Tips for finding other green conscious singles are included! This is a great starting point for people new to being green but also includes info that may be new to people already living green. Bottom line, this is a great and easy to read book that will give you a lot to think about and a lot of ideas to take to the bedroom and beyoond.
