This is, without a doubt, the BEST water-bottle I've ever used - and I've tried many, as I like to keep a big bottle of cold water with me at all times. My most recent favorite (before this one) was the Trudeau 24-ounce insulated bottle: Trudeau Cool Off 24-Ounce Hydration Bottle, Blue. I used to love that bottle, but after having THREE of them break in less then a year, I decided I was not going to keep throwing my money away on bottles that were far too close to being "disposable" (I believe the flaw with those bottles is the kind of plastic they use, which is FAR too breakable/brittle/fragile - they break at the drop of a hat, and I am NOT that hard on bottles!)

THIS bottle is going to last me a good, long time! (and if I remember, I will come back and update after I've had the bottle a good long time!). It is made from a very strong, solid stainless steel, with vacuum insulation between layers. It literally keeps my ice from melting for an ENTIRE DAY or longer! Even when the bottle is full of ice-cold water, the outside remains almost at room temp, barely even feels cool, really, so it's a great surprise when you take a drink and the water is still ice-cold! Because of the superior insulation, it has ZERO condensation, which is wonderful!

It is 11 inches tall, and only 3.5" at the base (the thickest part). [EDIT to add: The measurements I gave are for the 25 ounce bottle - the 17 ounce is slightly smaller] It has a nicely tapered shape, so it is easy to hold, even if you don't have large hands. (I have a medium female hand, with shorter-than-average fingers). It fits easily into the cupholders in my van console (unit on the floor).

I did about two hours of research before purchasing a replacement water bottle after I lost my last one. I switched from BPA-free plastics to stainless steel. I selected an insulated container which has the amazing power to keep warm liquids warm for a few hours and cold water cool for hours (ice cubes don't melt for hours, it is amazing). I wish the design was slightly different, as I prefer the bite valve and then this water bottle would not have the opportunity to occasionally drip (I don't mind- its a rare occasion). Not too large or too heavy, I appreciate the curved design - as it is easy to grab and hold. Does not fit in my car's drink holders, again not an issue for me, but maybe a frustating point for others. All in all, a great purchase. I hope not to need to buy another water bottle anytime soon, but if I do, I will buy an eco-vessel.

I bought one of these for my wife. At first. After having it for a while, we were amazed at how well this bottle keeps your drink cool. At the time she was working at a Vet clinic, and wanted a water bottle with a straw that she could close so just in case it got knocked over, it wouldn't spill. This bottle did the job and did it well. It was VERY common for her to come home with ice water left in the bottle and then the next morning when she went to refill it before work, there would still be ice in it. That's pretty darn good in my opinion. Plus the bottle looked good too. About a year later, I bought her a second, smaller one.

A year or 2 later and she has a new job. She is now an EMT. No longer in a air conditioned building all day, this bottle goes with her every day. And it takes a beating! She says that it's not uncommon for her water bottle to end up rolling around in the back of the ambulance and it can get very hot where she has to keep her stuff. This bottle still does a good job, even in the heat, of keeping her drink cold all day long. Since it is taking a beating it is getting dents and there are spots where the paint is starting to chip. To me, that should be expected given the treatment that she's given it. It still looks good but there are places where the paint is chipping.

The only negative I would have is that the large bottle (25 oz.) won't fit in a regular cup holder. It's too wide at the base to fit. As a result, the bottle ends up rolling around in different places in the car, and we've never had it leak when the lid was on properly. The smaller bottle (17 oz.) does fit in a cup holder.

If you need a durable water bottle that looks good and works VERY well, I would recommend this one.

I bought and tried several other iterations of this bottle, and this is definitely the best. I tried the Thermos stainless insulated bottle, and it is fine, but lacked a straw and had significantly less capacity. I tried the Camelbak insulated bottle and do not recommend it! It is not vaccum-insulated, which means it slowly heats up, and due to bottle design the expanded liquid then creeps--or shoots--up the straw and makes a terrible wet mess. The Camelbak also had a very narrow opening through the straw, while the Eco-Vessel has a nice big opening. Eco-Vessel's silicone spout is nice because it it has a soft feel in the mouth and easily comes up for detail cleaning. If you drop the Eco-Vessel, it may dent a a little and the colored versions may chip, but this is worth it in my opinion for a cold beverage any time. It never leaks when the straw is pushed down and liquid never creeps up the straw.
