Some of the people who have reviewed this product do not understand what it is used for. To the person who wrote Padma Basic did not help with osteoarthritis, Padma is not meant to help with osteoarthritis. Because Padma improves immune function, it could help with rheumatoid arthritis, but osteoarthritis is not an autoimmune disease. To the person who wrote "nothing happened," Padma Basic is most commonly used to treat the condition of having plaque and stiffening in one's arteries, which is called atherosclerosis. Generally, our bodies do not tell us if the plaque in our arteries has been reduced. More commonly, our bodies tell us when the plaque in our arteries is a problem, in the form of heart attack and stroke.

Padma Basic has been tested for its effects and results studied in medical journals. You can get a run down on the results in this summary: [...]. There are also two books published about Padma Basic and the research about it, which you can buy here on Amazon. The books are Padma: An Ancient Tibetan Herbal Formula and Padma: Integrating Ancient Wisdom and Modern Research. There is also a fascinating documentary about traditional Tibetan medicine and today's modern use of Padma Basic; the modern version of Padma has been used in Europe since the 1950s. The documentary, The Knowledge of Healing (1997), shows an Israeli heart surgeon saying if more people knew about Padma Basic, heart surgeons would not be doing most of the surgeries they do.

As long as American medicine can make more money doing heart surgeries and selling us Plavix, Americans will never hear much about Padma Basic. Do some research. Watch the documentary (it is available here on Amazon and also on Netflix), read the books, and decide for yourself.

A few years ago, my mother suffered from plaque build up in her arteries and had a stroke. More recently, after three years of regularly taking Padma Basic, her doctor said her arteries where in very good condition. My mother is 82 years old. She does not take Plavix or any similar prescription drug.

I have suffered from sinusitis, upper respiratory infections, and bronchitis since I was two years old. I've had three sinus surgeries due to infection problems that wouldn't go away after getting a common cold. I read about Padma Basic in a book and decided to try it. For the past two years, I have not had so much as a little cold, while other members of my family have had colds, swine flu, sinus infections, and bronchitis. I would ALWAYS get sick after taking care of my children when they had colds/respiratory infections, and mine would always be much worse than theirs. The last two years of taking Padma Basic have been incredible for me, not constantly getting sinus infections and upper respiratory infections with every little cold that came through our family.

This product save me thousand of dollars, I needing several root canal and i used this product for a couple of months and no root canals needed, I was amazed that my teeth healed on there own with this product, may not work for everyone but it worked for me, thanks for a great product......

I have to share my excitement about this product as I have had restless leg syndrome for years and have not been able to find anything that could help me with it. Up until now I have not been able to sleep at night, but now that I've found Padma Basic, I can sleep at night and my symptoms are gone just after a couple of weeks - anyone who has RLS must try this product!

This product has definitely helped with my husband's circulation!! A real life saver when we couldn't figure out what else to do for him. I would highly recommend for PAD and diabetes circulation issues.

I first got interested in taking Padma Basic when I was searching for an alternative approach to getting an root canal,got to love the Internet.My wife and I came across many articles about how Padma had helped many people with circulation problems and that it was from an ancient Tibet formula prescribed for the Dalai Lama and that the most recent Dalai had given the rights to a scientist in Switzerland(I think) to run tests on the formula. The results where startling enough to start production of Padma Basic. There are many books and videos about Padma with testimonials. Well back to my original reason for searching for an alternative medicine for Root Canal that led me to Padma Basic,I never got that root canal and my wife started taking Padma when a tooth of hers started to act up with pain,the pain went away and she continues,along with me, to take Padma Basic.Highly recommend others to investigate the benefits of Padma by doing a search on the Internet first, read the articles,check out the books from your library and watch the DVDs.

I was intrigued with the research on Padma presented in the DVD, The Knowledge of Healing The Knowledge of Healing and starting looking into it. I found many well designed medical studies testing the efficacy of Padma. They all had good results. You can find some of the studies on the NIH (US National Institutes of Health) website. There have been a lot more studies done in European countries, especially Switzerland, over the past few decades.

Padma lowered my blood pressure to the normal range within the first box. I've heard that this is faster than it takes most people (3 months). By taking advantage of the auto subscription program for the 15% discount plus the free shipping, Amazon is cheapest source of Padma Basic I found on the Internet. After several months I still haven't had any negative side effects. I'm impressed with Padma and highly recommend it.

I think that woman tried taking Padma for arthritis because it does have an effect on inflammation according to quite a few studies. But just reducing inflammation can't end arthritis pain since the joint is damaged, eventually to the point of having bone grinding on bone. That causes pain even when inflammation is reduced. A Glucosomine and Chondroiton combo works for osteoarthritis since it repairs the damaged joint but you'll need to take something to reduce the inflammation response along with it. Too bad it was given a 1-star rating for something it's not even suppose to treat. Maybe she will change or remove that rating since it's not really an accurate rating.

Also, give herbs and supplements a longer time than drugs to see results. Our arteries took decades to get the build up and it takes time to reverse it. I'm glad that there's a safe way to take care of it.

Some years ago I read a review in a SuperSupplements newsletter, that a study had been done showing that subjects taking Padma Basic no longer needed scheduled root canal work. I and several close friends take it for weeks when needed for tooth pain and it has saved needing to run off to a dentist. If there is something really in need of work, it then exceeds the benefits of the Padma Basic.I consider Padma Basic a requirement for a first aid kit.

I use Padma Basic as a way to help with blood circulation.

The product works great but the cost is too prohibitive. If the distributor would lower their prices I would be able to buy it on a more regular basis.

Apart from the cost, the product helped me with relieving "heavy legs" sensation that was very uncomfortable.

So it works for me.
