I've been using these bags for about a month and they have held up really well. They can hold a good amount of heavy produce. They come clean relatively easily when washed by hand.

The Ecobag produce bag is a GoGreenMart&More Product of the Week. I'm sure you've heard about the benefits of reusable shopping bags. For example, if a population of 100,000 people made the switch, we would save 60,000 gallons of oil per year. Not to mention the reduction of waste littering our planet and taking up landfills space.

This produce bag is one more "going green" step and now my tomatoes, apples and brussel sprouts are gently carried in a hammock of organic cotton netting. These bags weigh a little more than plastic bags but tie and untie easily allowing for quick processing at the check-out line. I chose the organic to take the going green process one step farther.

Though the original intent is for produce, other uses jump to mind. Such as a good plastic substitute for containing small toys or corralling items kept in a large bag such as a beach tote.

I've been looking for produce bags that are eco-friendly b/c I always disliked using plastic disposable bags for fruit/veggies at the food store, and these are a great reusable alternative.
